Trading down is dependent on team needs and draft preparedness. Look what the Browns did last season? They are obviously trying to build through the draft, and that means making MULTIPLE quality picks as opposed to 1 single pick. I like getting Blackmon, but then I think you draft OL or something else. I think you are taking the approach of "throwing shit against the wall and hoping something sticks." I don't want to do that.

Now that RG3 is off the board I don't think you panic and take Tannehill or Weeden. Fact is that after Luck and RG3 there are no other "safe" bets on a franchise QB in this draft. If they want to take a late flyer on that giant from Arizona State or something like that just to push McCoy a bit I'm fine with that. Focus on getting offensive weapons.

All I know is that one of those first three picks better be a fucking Wide Receiver.

I agree that our WR's are a problem. However, I think Little can be an effective slot in the league, much like an Anquan Boldin-type player. However, the only way he can be effective in that position is if there is a #1 outside to stretch the defense and open things up underneath. I don't think the Browns have been that bad on defense honestly; however, they are on defense very often because the offense is 3 and out more often than not. We need to build our offense in order to help our defense, IMO.

Little will be fine, you have to remember he hadn't played football in a year so he was still adjusting. He showed enough flashes to make me believe that he's going to be a good #2 receiver going forward. I also agree completely about the defense. In fact I think the defense was UNDERRATED given how much time they had to spend on the field due to the offense's ineptitude. If the Browns had a decent offense last year they could've won 7-8 games given how well the defense played. Not to mention the defense has a lot of young core players to build around and who will only get better.

Another thing to keep in mind is that TJ Ward missed almost the entire season with injury, but the kid is a stud. If he can get back and stay healthy, our defense will be just fine. I would be ok with taking Richardson at #4 if we were able to get Hill at #22, but we would have trouble addressing RT then. We will see, still lots of time until the draft and many pro days left to occur.

I personally think you trade down and get another 2nd rounder. Grab Decastro from Stanford. Guy is going to be a pro bowl guard.

I load up on defense and O-Line through the draft. Getting weapons is a waste at this point.

You don't need to draft a WR high in the draft. There are guys like Nick Toon, Eric Page, Ryan Broyles, Tommy Streeter that can be had in later rounds. These guys can be decent in the NFL. The difference between most good WRs and average WRs is the QB. You put McCoy on the Giants and all of their wideouts look like MoMass.

Agreed. Doesn't matter if they get Justin Blackmon, Pierre Garcon and Dallas Clark if Linguini Arm is checking down on every play. Agreed... Good receivers make average QB's look good because they get open, create separation, and catch imperfectly thrown balls.

Disagree. McCoy is so afraid to make a mistake that he opts for the checkdown many time leaving plays on the field. You put him on a team like the Saints, Packers or Giants with their receivers and he'd bog down the offense.

All of the teams you mentioned are around 70% passing teams. Colt is not a QB that you feature, but he can manage a team when he has tools around him to help him succeed.

Sure he's a "game manager." No question about that but this franchise needs a "game CHANGER."

The days of winning Super Bowls with the 2000 Ravens defense, Trent Dilfer at QB and a strong running game are gone. Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, etc will all trump that 9x's out of 10. You NEED that special QB to get you over the top. You're not going to sniff a Lombardi with McCoy.
