Wes Unseld, 74.

Remembered watching him as a kid against the Cavs in the Miracle of Richfield. Cavs had a legit shot to win the title that year if not for a broken foot.

Reche Caldwell, 41.

Seems by some reports that it could have been a homicide. I haven't seen anything updated on it.

EDIT: updated to a homicide. His girlfriend reported that Reche was ambushed in an attempted robbery at his own home, suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and chest.

Agreed. I think that many times this stuff is driven by white butt hurt social justice warriors. From what I've heard, a large number of native Americans aren't offended by the Cleveland Indians or Washington Redskins.

They're usually the ones pushing their way to the front lines of a protest to be the most obnoxious and belligerent to cops.

The professional baseball club of Cleveland appears to be backing away from the nickname very gradually

In 10 years, will it still be the Cleveland Indians? KC Chiefs?

I'm aware of this but I don't think it;s due to Native Americans being up in arms about it. As I said, white social justice warriors.

The Chiefs name is apparently based off of an organization that was formed by the Mayor of KC at the time. It was basically a boy scout troop with Native American customs/influence/values. If anything, that's probably the most acceptable way they could use a Native American-themed name without pissing anyone off.

I think the stereotypical war chants and stuff that fans do at games are what will ultimately screw it up and force their name to be changed (eventually).
