What a dumb ass. They don’t fuck around with that - they will throw your ass out for that.

Positive that’s a phone? I’d be shocked if he got that far (unless he just then whipped it out). They have cameras all over that place and a giant (think of Morgan Freeman in Batman) CCTV security screening room. Like, cameras in trees all over the course for this exact reason.
Of course, maybe a worker taking a break. There are certain tiers of workers for different vendors/TV that get to have their phone on the course.

I always love how real fights actually look compared to movie fights. The moves are horrible and one dude (usually the fat one) always seems to lose his shirt.
There is a certain tiny element in the golf world that does not make this surprising.

Any bets we should make for the Open. I put a few bucks on Scottie but need a couple other guys

How can you bet Scottie and someone else at his price?

Varying how much I bet on each.
If I bet on Scottie at +280 for $100 and he wins I’m up $280 now I put $25 on Bryce at +900. I’m still up decently if either wins and don’t have all my eggs in one basket

Seems crazy to me. I would just bet the favorite at a high price like you said ($100) and no one else, or not bet the favorite and sprinkle it elsewhere. I’d be angry if someone at 25/1 wins, but I could only put $10 on them, so that win is now 15/1. It just kills your value.
I guess maybe it’s ok if you sprinkle a little on some real longshots, but even then you are taking an already high price point on favorite and slashing it even more.

It works pretty good usually for me last week. I had Scottie Griffin and Cantlay as my three winners. Then put smaller bets on Griffin Top 5 and Top 10 and Cantlay Top 10. Ended up pretty good for the tournament.
I would rather take smaller wins than no wins at all.

This is absolutely insane even for a U.S. Open

Oakmont looks incredible
What a mentally exhausting 72 holes this week. 120 yard putts, 280 yard par 3 and that rough…oh that rough
My son tried to get my wife and daughter to buy in to get me and my dad tickets for Sunday for Father’s Day…my wife nixed it and I agreed with the nixing but have a strong feeling Sunday will be something else.

The walk off putt was pretty insane. I’m probably in the minority but I did not love the course and its difficulty. There were times were horrible shots turned out to be better then bad shots because the grass was trampled down by patrons vs the insane rough. Glad it’s really only one tournament a year like this.

This happens every week though. Horrible shots rewarded because they get relief from the TV compound, or the temporary bleachers, or whatever. The only part I didnt like was when a ball would be almost coming to a stop near the hole and still run past. That is unfair pin placements.
And Par-3s where professionals have to hit anything but an iron, is dumb.
