Complete guess but seems right...Lakers have AD Bird rights? Because they traded for him, so he is resigning with the team who had his original contract? That’s my best guess without googling anything.
Lebron “hurt” by Kyrie’s comments that Durant is the first clutch teammate he’s had. Lebron should get on board with the rest of the world and ignore Kyrie because he’s a lunatic.

Well, yes. But they were also teammates for 4 years, and from the stuff you could see behind the scenes, appeared to be really close friends. LeBron even defended Kyrie on Road Trippin for his flat earth stuff. LeBron basically always had his back, so I can see why he’d feel hurt by that.
But yes, Kyrie is a psycho, so best to ignore.
I guess just keep this as the NBA season thread and Cavs thread? I don’t think there’s much basketball interest here anymore.
Anyways, Cavs look good so far tonight. But the Hornets probably also really suck.
The Nets looked great last night. You kind of forget how many other solid players are on the roster besides Durant/Irving. They should run with this and forget about Harden.
Heat looked good...Butler hurt though.

If Zion doesn’t learn to defend the Pelicans will be awful. He was atrocious in both games so far. Borderline unplayable vs the starting units.

Any metrical comparison to other players who are non-defenders?
The games have all sucked today. Tough spot for the NBA with Curry and Doncic. They are fun to watch but their teams otherwise aren’t competitive.

I don’t really know. I just watched them today make their run when he was out. After they got blitzed running PnR vs him. Then he came back in and it went from 6 to 17 in about 3 minutes

I kinda noticed that trend some but way more so when Redick was on the court.
It’s funny watching Bol Bol looking like he world’s tallest and thinnest person but then know his Dad was 5 inches taller and weighed 20 less lbs.

Well yeah, Redick can’t defend at all. And when he can’t shoot — like today — I don’t know why you play him as much as SVG did.
Redick was -27, by far the worst. Zion was -13 for second worst on NOP. Lonzo was only other starter at negative (-3). Bledsoe, Ingram and Adams were positive for the game.

Cavs actually had a very impressive win tonight. They were down 109-101 with three minutes left in overtime, went on to win 128-119 in double overtime. A 27-10 run to end the game.
Sexland has come to play this year. Both look absolutely fantastic. Okoro is a player. Hope he finds an offensive game, because he does everything else.
Still don’t see what Drummond is bringing them, but they seem to have it working since end of last year and thru 2 games.
