Figured we are getting close to end of the season. Time we start talking about cbb.

1) Are we doing Pick ‘Em again?

2) what do you guys think about Peterson at Kansas.

He seems to be either soft or has someone telling him to take it easy and manage his workload. As an NBA team and how loaded this draft is I’m not sure I could take him number 1.

3) Ohio State - will they make the tournament and should Diebler be gone.

I’ve watched a lot of them this year and this team plays exactly like they did with Holtmann the last 5 mins of games. Diebler does seem to be recruiting well but Ohio State is in a much better place if they had hired Dusty May or Calapari. If we miss the tournament again I think I start looking for a new doach

This is the least I’ve watched h college basketball since about 1982

The Ohio State loss to Pitt looks awful

Miami is a great story

They should just let kids come out of high school again. As far as the Kansas situation.

Feel like I’ve watched a decent amount of college basketball this year.

The Peterson thing is bizarre. But so is Kansas getting killed today at home by a bad Cincinnati team.

-Michigan is very good.

- I’m sick of Mick Cronin. Guy is a miserable fuck and I hope he gets fired and goes away.

-I hope Miami gets in regardless of how the end of the season pans out for them

#1 - YES. I need to start that thread (and if anyone wants to start texting folks that would be appreciated).

(Team trailing by 3 has possession with >10 seconds left)

Announcers, every time: you don’t need a three here if you can get something quick and easy!

I’m more annoyed at the team who is down 2 and settles for a bad 3

That’s a good one.

I’ve said this before but probably my least favorite thing in sports is a team trailing 2-3 points and has to inbound and go length of the court in <5 seconds. Instead they throw a full court pass that ends up being a turnover.

If you can get a 2 with 7-8 seconds left, I actually DO agree with this. College kids just miss too many FTs, so very good chance you end up down 2 or maybe even 1 with 6 seconds and the ball.

But yeah, most of the time they are scoring with like 3-4 seconds and its stupid. Take the 3.

Side note, we have a few openings on the NCAA Pick-'Em this year if anyone wants to join. Few guys wont be around the first few days of drafting...

Tournament week is one of my favorite sports weeks of the year. It’s like an amazing appetizer for next week.

Anyone watching the big 12 tourney? The court is grey and white and looks like your watching tv before it had color but with all the fans and players being of color.

It’s messing with my mind and hard to watch

Couple of interesting endings in the ACC:

1) FSU rebounds ball down 1 with 7-8 seconds left. Goes length of floor and shoots contested three pointer that misses. I’m sure they had a timeout. I hate not taking it in that situation. I know you’re trying to catch defense off guard but too often I see the offense just blow it with a miserable shot.

2) Clemson up 1 shooting free throws against UNC with 2.7 seconds left. UNC no timeouts. Clemson did what I would have done and missed free throw. By time UNC rebounds and turns/dribbles they’re heaving a 60+ shot (that missed)  Don’t make that free throw and give UNC the chance to get a closer, cleaner shot off.

First off, Duke fan here. After watching last nights game - Cayden Boozer will need to play much better for Duke to have a shot at a final four. There's a significant difference between him and Foster IMO.

Secondly, I am okay with FSU not taking a timeout there. Defense for Duke was a bit unorganized. McCray got matched with a freshmen Sarr and he had been playing well the past 2 nights and really the last month at that. Plus to end the 1H he hit a really tough shot at the buzzer. Duke, is one of the best defensive teams in the country - I will take my chances in a situation like that rather than let them get set up and matched up. I am betting Scheyer would've subbed Khamenia in for Cayden Boozer and Duke would've been 6'9, 6'9, 6'8, 6'8, 6'6 out there defending a SLOB to end the game w/ ~ 4 seconds

The tournament NEEDS teams like Miami.  Back in the day, MAC often got 2 teams and you DID NOT want to face a MAC team in the tourney.  Haven't gotten 2 in probably 20 years.

Honestly, who wants to watch the 9th B1G team at 15-13 scrape out an ugly win before getting trounced in the next round?  Those teams never do anything and are only in the tournament for ratings.  Teams like Miami, on the other hand, often end up being quite a bit more impressive than their SOS and other power rankings indicate.

I watched a few Miami games at the end of the season. I do not think they are very good. They have heart and are well coached which is why they won so many close games.

I don’t think they are real good but I want any 31-1 NCAA team in the tournament….I don’t care their schedule as long it was mostly D1 of course

Screw the 17-15 SEC team

I'd say they're "mid-major good". Have to be good to win close game after close game after close game as long as they did, especially considering that when you're undefeated late in the season, you're getting everyone's best game and one off night equals a loss. I'd say their main issue is defense. They can score with about anyone, but they also can't stop most anyone.

They won 25 games last year and conference champs I think, got bounced early in the tournament, and got no bid to the Dance.

No one is saying they're a sleeper Elite-8 team.  But they deserve to be in.  They can't beat a 5 or 6 seed?  Let 'em play!

I would put them in by they will lose in the first round by 10+. If they get a play in game they might win that.

Akron is the scary team no one should want to play in the tour
