Yeah, I know. Was smh at the fan getting worked up over it.
Just got Dane Brugler's 2018 Draft Guide and was going to hook some of you guys up with a freebie but it's in a damn PDF and I can't seem to forward it. Nice breakdown of 450 players.

Thanks for the support! He is my cousin/ one of my best friends, and believe me, he works his ass off on that thing. Obviously people will disagree with his mocks and stuff, but he watches a tremendous amount of film to put that guide together.

Real nice breakdown on these guys. Heard him on an interview with Howard Balzer & Gil Brandt this morning on Late Hits (Sirius XM). Prompted me to buy it.
Interesting comment about the small school CB the Browns will be bringing in as one of their 30 visits. Could definitely see that kid flying under the radar.
Obviously took a crap ton of work to compile all that info, then to turn around and sell it for only $9.99. Was also interesting to know that 4 of the NFL teams utilize this guide.

thought we'd like to 'meet' your cousin...

Saw a mock that had Browns taking Darnold/Chubb. I think that’s what will make me most happy in this draft. Beast D lineman to pair with Garrett, and a franchise QB. Can’t ask for much else.

100%. Darnold/Mayfield + Chubb no matter what.
Would also be okay with Rosen.

yup
Which means it will be Allen and Barkley.....
Browns have traded Kevin Hogan to the Redskins.
Also, somehow someone has turned a sad faced emoji on Josh Gordon's Snapchat to "he pissed dirty and will be suspended again."

Kind of what I'm expecting but I'll be one of the few that won't be happy with the QB (Darnold) selection. Will be thrilled to have Garrett, Ogbah & Chubb together.
Gil Brandt's take on the top of the draft from Peter King's MMQB...
• Top of the draft: “Here’s what it looks like: The running back from Penn State [Saquon Barkley] has all the characteristics needed to be an All-Pro player and could go anywhere in there. Nothing would surprise me. Let’s go to the quarterbacks. Josh Allen has everything you need to be a franchise QB, but he lacks accuracy, and you can’t complete 56 percent in the NFL. Now Sam Darnold, he’s got great mechanics and the right attitude and approach to be great. But he throws interceptions. This is where you have to grade him—was the interception his fault? Josh Rosen started as a true freshman at UCLA. Never happened before. Started 5-0 or something like that as an 18-year-old. [Actually 4-0, and he won seven of his first nine starts]. You want to be the surest that you won’t be laughed at five years down the line with one of these quarterbacks? Pick Rosen. He’s a player. Lamar Jackson, immense talent, immense upside. Baker Mayfield is a guy like Drew Brees. He’s got velocity, good accuracy. We all undervalued Drew. But what you don’t know about anyone is which quarterbacks are gonna work like Drew Brees. Drew’s gonna work his ass off. His agent could get a call during the season from a car company saying, ‘We got a $200,000 commercial for you to tape on Tuesday.’ And Drew would say, ‘No, I’m not gonna do that on Tuesday. That’s my day to work on the next opponent.’ Your job if you’re going to draft one of these guys is to figure out who’s like Drew Brees.”

A lot of good stuff in that article and the Brandt interview. Interesting about what he has to say regarding top talent (not much) in this draft.

I don't know how anyone can see Josh Allen has it all, but lacks accuracy. That kinda is really important for QBs...

If you read that MMQB story, former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky completely shreds Josh Allen. Some argue for Allen, "if he threw as many screen passes as Mayfield, his completion percentage would be higher." Problem is, he CAN'T complete a screen pass either. Didn't watch the video but I think he tried to throw two screen passes against Iowa and both got picked.
The argument for Allen, that I've heard, is that Todd Haley really likes him and can mold him into something. Where this could have some validity is that I think Dorsey brought Haley in here to replace Hue as the HC. Think Hue was forced on Dorsey and he's just biding his time to can his ass.
The sad part about the NFL is that teams are so desperate to find that "pot o' gold" in a QB that it has elevated the draft stock of most of these guys. Realistically, Allen should probably be a 3rd/4th round project, in normal drafts. None of these guys would be 1st rounders, to me, but teams need QB's so they'll roll the dice.
Which is kind of why I don't get all of the love for Darnold at #1. The only thing he has going for him is that he's the "safest" pick. Best thrower? Nope (Rosen). Most athletic? Nope (Jackson then Allen). Most accurate? Nope (Mayfield). Best leader of men? Nope (Mayfield). Strongest arm? Nope (Allen). Best physical specimen? Nope (Allen). Best at anticipating throws? Nope (Rosen/Mayfield). He may end up being a solid top 12-20 QB but a lot of what this says to me is "safe bet/average QB/nothing special."

If Todd Haley likes him is the best argument for Allen, then that is not an argument at all. Show me a franchise that makes draft picks (especially QB) based on their coordinators and I will show you a loser franchise.

I think that would be under the pretense that Haley is the head coach in waiting. I'd bet Hue doesn't get another year.
Jesus...I wish all of this "Josh Allen to the Browns at #1" bullshit would stop. The Browns, it seems, are the only ones connected to this guy. I keep hearing it's either Allen to the Browns at #1 or he will be the 4th QB taken. If everyone else thinks he's the 4th best QB, why is he being connected to Cleveland at 1?

One would hope, with all of the experience/success in the new front office, they'd be better than the guys before them....unless Haslam is a driving force behind the pick. I highly doubt that as I got the feeling Haslam was in love with Darnold.
