I don't know how people got that in less than 5.  At least one admitted they read the board beforehand and adjusted their strategy.  Sort of like playing the ladies tees while others are playing the tips.

Same, but 4. But you definitely had to have 2 solid guesses.

Holy crap…my wife used pacer as her starting word and couldn’t get the middle letter and failed. Her guesses were solid.

Parse was my second guess. I don’t really know why I was leaning P. But I needed to get an e and s in, knowing the a was used somewhere. Parse just popped into my head. Thought I had it in 2 for a second.

My first word is “strep” about 3 of 5 days. Would’ve had a 2 or 3, but went with purer over parer for it so would’ve been a 3.

My second word was ANGER and I was feeling good about a 4, maybe a 3.

CAPER, PAYER, PAVER, PAPER

You were pretty much screwed if you didn't have that middle R, because it's a rare word and who's guessing another R with all the other choices left?

Not sure if they are on the official list, but wordle also would have accepted PAWER and PALER.  So basically I had a 50% chance with 3 guesses on 6 possibilities.
