I have several major fears. Two of them being:

Locked-In Syndrome. I recently had to read about a real case of this and let me just say that thinking about this condition makes me feel a visceral feeling of claustrophobia. I hope to God that myself or anybody I know never has to go through that!

Spiders. I've always had a deep fear of them. And this morning I encountered one that is in my shower that is so big that it's almost the size of my hand spread out. Needless to say that I opted to take a bath instead. I hope it stays in there and starves to death or my bf will be kind and stop by on his way to work and kill it for me. I've already texted him.

So what are some things that you fear?

  • Irrational fear of floating off into space while alive.
  • Never had a fear of heights, and I guess still don't, but I no longer get as close to edges or lean up to the fences/glass on buildings or cliffs. Ill eat at the top of a building even next to the window, just wont press against the window for the view lol
  • Smaller one, and wont go crazy if I am in the situation, but as soon as I am behind a truck with logs or rods or whatever -- I start to navigate my way to the side and past them. Thanks Final Destination 2
  • The ocean. It doesnt stop me from snorkeling, or swimming with sharks, or whatever. But it does terrify me

Mine is the dumbest

Had bad plantar issues…in the last year I’ve lost about 50 lbs and I’ve jogged and jogged and sprinted and walked so much. I have $50 insoles that I’ve worn for all the exercise and the same New Balance shoes for almost a year. The soles are hundreds and hundreds of miles past being worn out….the insoles are barely in one piece. But I’m afraid to wear my new Nike Vomero’s and my new insoles because I know my feet will hurt until my feet adjust…but the old gross shit is what got me to where I am physically/aetobically and they don’t hurt my feet.

It’s the dumbest thing but also from the guy driving a 21 year old accord with 370,000 miles

About locked in listen to the Podcast Blink. It’s one of the few people to survive and recover from LIS.

My Fears:

I have health related anxiety. It’s much better than it’s been but every little thing about my body can make me think I’m dying.

Yeah…wish I was just ignorant to my minor ailments, they always make me think too much

Bats. Terrified of bats.

Financial insolvency. I’ve had this all my adult life after starting off with a lot of revolving debt in my 20s. It makes me conservative about money and makes me worry irrationally about unemployment.

I used to have a thing with heights but in last 10 years I have conquered that. I have done some high cliff jumps in Jamaica and some high zip lines in Sedona.

I have things that I really don’t like tho.

1. Being a passenger in a car in the front seat. I genuinely don’t trust most people with my life.

2. Bugs, mice, cobwebs or environments that involve these things. We get the occasional mouse that runs across our classroom and I hate it.

3. I really don’t like getting dirty at this point. Been doing more fishing last few years and I realized that just having dry dirty skin with fish and bait guts on my hands really bothers me now a lot more than when I was young.

4. Shadows. I actually need pitch black to sleep and even use thanks to a Christmas gift a mask now to sleep. Game changer.
