I use mostly facebook and a little Twitter.
Facebook is good for sharing with relatives who don't live close.
My issue with Twitter is that I follow mostly athletes and entertainers that I like, but i don't really care about their politics.
I mostly use Twitter, with Facebook thrown into keep tabs on close friends, family, pics, etc.

This is why you need to follow reporters and journalists. They link all their articles and will retweet any relevant athlete tweets anyway. Get great team news also, if you follow the team specific guys.
I use facebook to keep in touch with far-flung friends and relatives.

I only like social media for shitposting.
I've used Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn, and even Pinterest. I use some other minor ones that are niche specific, but these are the big ones.
The only one I use consistently is Facebook, as it has most of the utility of the rest.
Also, Facebook is more comfortable as a gateway for folks who are new to social media, but not new to the concept itself.
