Which there are already conspiracy theorists out there claiming the Twins pitcher grooved it (ala Cal Ripken in the All-Star game) to Lindor so he'd hit a HR for the hometown crowd. Considering the Twins & Tribe were neck & neck for the division last year, this makes absolutely no sense.

Have I said how much I fucking hate the bunt in the last week?!? For the life of me I don’t understand why baseball managers still do it. They use analytics everywhere...yet still have hitters bunt when it’s statistically one of the dumbest plays in the sport.

The Twins were in it with the Tribe for a decent stretch of the season before the Tribe pulled away. It wasn't down to the wire but they (Minny) put up a fight for a while.
