5-1 on 4 HR's and Tomlin is out of there.
We lose this game and Tomlin will go to 0-3, 9.24.
This was so predictable. Thankfully no one was on base for any of those HRs, but yeah...Tomlin not good.
And why is Lindor bunting there? Cost them a chance at a huge inning. Fucking ridiculous that he hunts as much as he does. Tito won’t ever tell a player to not sacrifice, but he really should.
We want him to hunt, but not bunt. ;-)
Well, if it starts pouring, the game will be official.
And on the radio, the conversation turned to how good the pitching was for the Cubs in 2016 and Chapman's name was mentioned about being so tough. Then Hammy says "well, the last time we saw him in Cleveland, he was sitting on the bench crying".
And on this miserable night that's all I got, but I LOL'ed and thought I'd share.
My god, Tomlin, seriously?!?

lol...priceless
There has to be a better option than Tomlin.

His name is Salazar.
But that said, we are pretty damn spoiled. Tomlin is probably better than about 50% of fifth starters.

We started talking about Merritt in the 3rd inning

I could be wrong but the last time he was playing Cleveland, he was getting the save for the Yankees in Game 5 of the ALDS last year...

I looked it up.
Hammy was wrong and you are right.

yup, but Hammy is infinitely more entertaining
Hammy has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind but I think every year, as he gets older, he gets bolder and bolder. Just hoping his great career isn't ruined by the PC police after he takes it one step too far. He is a treasure.
As for the game last night, blah. On to the next one. Do pitchers every pitch well in their next start after coming out of the bullpen in relief in extra innings? It took a month in 2016 for Bauer to regain his form after coming out of the pen vs Toronto to keep that 14 game winning streak alive. Not making excuses for Tomlin, he hasn't been good all year. When Tomlin is Tomlin, I think most teams would sign up for him to be their 4th starter...let alone #5. He'll need to find it quickly because if Merritt or Salazar look good coming off the DL, it will be tough to keep handing it to Tomlin.
Good article on Bauer.

From the article:
'When I didn't say anything, I was bad. But now that I tell you how much you suck, I'm good.'
ha ha
I’ve always liked Bauer, but it was more his skill. Now, I’m starting to like him the way I like JR Smith. No matter what he says or does, he will always have a place in my heart and I’ll defend him till I die haha.

Bauer has grown on me. Reminds me of Jay Cutler, a little.
Back to the offense. I’m not one to make drastic changes quickly. But with that said, Kipnis has been bad for awhile now and frankly I don’t understand why he was plugged into the 2-hole from the start. Bradley Zimmer hasn’t shown a whole lot, at least consistently, but enough where he should be batting higher. I’d shake the lineup around a bit, and somehow try to get EE going. Maybe put Brantley in the 2 hole, EE 3, and Ramirez 4. Then Yonder 5. Not sure what to do with Zimmer. Batting him after Yonder/EE negates his speed, but batting him 9th at the moment seems stupid.
