Around the horn....

Gomes. Nice to see him having  a decent season at the plate. Likeable. Outstanding backstop, not too many are better.

Perez. I'm beginning to think that he's already "maxed out" offensively and defensively. Opposing pitchers dream, he has to be the easiest out in baseball.

Alonso. Steady. Good replacement for Santana.

Kipnis. Run o' the mill MLB 2nd baseman. Fan fave, good to have.

Rodriguez. Jack off, with potential. Needs to cut back a bit on the bench grab ass, spend more time watching, listening, and learning.

Lindor. Yep, one of the best.

Ramirez. Yep, Top 5 position players in the AL.

JRam might be top 5 in all MLB. He’s in the argument

Chisenhall. Next to useless. Starting to remind me of Sizemore (not nearly  as talented)....the most recent injury  is worse than the last one, and  so on. Do love the arm.

Guyer. Useless. Has to be the second easiest out in baseball.

Naquin. Better in RF than in CF.

Davis. One of my favorites, but little contribution this season so far.

Allen. Adequate given the circumstances.

Brantley. Best LF in AL.

Encarnacion. He'll get his "numbers". Wish he much more clutch than he is.

Pitching. Top 3 starting rotation. Perez is the only reliever I have 90%+ confidence in right now, some are a bit squirrely and some just flat out stink.

I wondered if we should have an All-Star break thread, so thanks for starting one Gardens.

I was scratching my head on Rodriguez, but Fab helped clear that up.

Your comments on Chisenhall, upon reflection, I agree with.

I will comment more tomorrow on others.

pretty darn good assessment, Gardens, and IMO, it's hard to argue any of them (especially Chiz & Perez)...well done

Biggest elephant in the room is the bullpen. The offense can play with anyone and their top 3 starting pitchers, assuming Kluber is healthy and hasn't put too much tread on the tires, are some of the best in the game. The bullpen makes me long for the 1970's when every starting pitcher was trying to throw a complete game.

I like Roberto Perez, yet I agree with the OP's comments.

I agree with the comments on "Rodriguez " Gonzalez.

Bull pen is "yikes".

JRam and Lindor are awesome.

Starting pitching is A+.

Alonso good replacement.

Kipnis coming around.

Gomes decent.

Brantley back is working well.

I like Naquin and Davis, Guyer mediocre.

I miss Bradley Zimmer.

I agree with the opinions stated on players. I would like to see them add some bullpen help and maybe an outfielder. I'm really not a fan of "Let's rent a Machado" for the rest of the year. You have no shot at signing him next year and you are probably going to have to give up  a lot of young players to get him.

1) Back end like Hand, Vazquez or Iglesis.  Famalia (charges were dropped but still suspended) is a free agent at years end.

2) Right handed hitting OF.  Adam Jones rental here would be obvious.

Also got reliever Adam Cimber whose stats don't look too terrible either.

Sucks going up Mejia but hand is a stud and is much needed.

And they will have Hand under control for a few more years when Allen & Miller walk this offseason.

I was told Mejia was asked to play some outfield and refused. Wonder if that might have had anything to do with it?

Mejia would've been a nice luxury to have but I get the impression that they are in a "win now" mode with their window starting to close (I know they probably have a couple more years but not with this roster in place).

I was at the Mud Hens/Clippers game a couple weeks ago and he was in right field, but maybe he told them that this was just a temporary thing at the minor league level?
