We win another series (even though I think it should have been a sweep.....because I chalked up Carrasco losing and then he pitched well and then I count on Civale winning).

However..........we will take the series win.  And we will keep winning series.

So now......we go to KC and all 3 games start at 8:05.

We have:

Bieber vs. Keller

Clevinger vs. TBD

McKenzie vs. TBD

Pretty interesting.

Every reporter is saying he’s gone. It’s a matter of Padres, Braves or the mystery team who has apparently offered more. Padres were front runners 2 hrs ago, before that mystery offer supposedly came through.

Seems like a decent haul. Getting two SS back (one can play 2B) means Cesar and Lindor are both likely gone after this season. Naylor should help the OF this year, and Quantril is off to a decent start as a pen arm.

Got 6 guys back, Greg Allen also sent to Padres. 3 of the 6 are ranked 7,9, and 11 in the Padres minor leagues. Naylor should start right away.

Seems that San Diego is all in on making a run at it this season. Recently picked up Royals Closer, and BoSox 1st Baseman.

Padres system was stacked, too. Couple last years Bauer trade with this and whatever Lindor brings this offseason and Tribe may actually avoid a complete rebuild. The pitching is there and locked up for a few years.

Too bad they fucked up and didn’t get shit for Kluber.

The Tribe have done well in the past with trades with San Diego and it looks like that is the case with this trade.

Most everyone I have read about REALLY like this trade.

Like Laley23 brought up, it’s a WHOLE lot better that the Kluber deal.

We still have major problems offensively. Our pitching is strong enough to give us a chance in a playoff series, but we only score against 4th and 5th starters. Those pitchers won't be starting in the playoffs. It's disappointing that we weren't able to add a bat before the deadline.
