I usually do a Top 10 NFL QB thread...as I got thinking I’m not sure there are 10 that are still really good. A few years ago it seemed as if it were 15 strong.

Brees, Manning, Luck, Roethlisberger out....Rodgers isn’t what he was. Newton has been bad. Rivers slipping some. Stafford/Ryan not as good. Wentz/Goff aren’t looking great.

Is the worst Top 10 QB’s basically now right before our eyes?

Mahomes

Brady

Wilson

Prescott

Rodgers?

Watson?

Garappolo

Jackson?

Wentz? Goff?

Rivers

What killed me was Troy Aikman's comments about Pat Mahomes. Aikman, along with Terry Bradshaw & Joe Namath are the worst QB's (statistically) to be in the HOF.

Looks good but also, Brees out, Rodgers doesn’t seem as good, Ryan has great receivers but still already 6 interception.

Just not a strong top 10 IMO

I'd have to put some thought and research into things, but, yeah, a world where Matt Ryan of 2019 might be a Top 10 guy is about as bad as things could get.

The QB situation in the league is really bad, and it was really good not too long ago.

  1. Mahomes
  2. Brady
  3. Wilson
  4. Watson
  5. Rodgers
  6. Dak
  7. Rivers
  8. Goff
  9. Wentz
  10. Josh Allen

Honestly 8-10 you could convince me of the 3 I listed, Brisett, Ryan or Garappolo. I omitted anyone injured.

Christ. When Josh Allen and Jacoby Brisett are cracking top 10 QB lists you know it's dire.

Probably about the one I agree with the most. I’d probably have Garappolo in the 8-10 spot with Allen on the outside but 🤷🏻‍♂️

It'd be interesting to redo this debate at the end of the year, to see if any of the young guys have convinced us they should be in the list. Minshew, Kyle Allen, Mason Rudolph, Baker, Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Daniel Jones, Brissett, Trubisky maybe.

Trubisky might be worse than half the backups in the NFL. So, no, he won’t be making any top 10 lists lol.

Baker currently not being able to crack into these lists is depressing.

I had him pegged in at about #9 going into the season. Surprised of his play so far. Doesn’t seem like very often he progresses past the first option and then veers his way to make something happen....but it’s not been happening this year.
