Kelsey Mitchell is a helluva player, but can’t wait for her (and hopefully Mc Guff) to move on. This team doesn’t play together, and it’s obvious that KM has her own agenda. As fun as the men are to watch, the women are the exact opposite.

I agree. McGuff seems to be the definition of a good recruiting coach who isn't that good at the Xs and Os during games. He has a lot of talent, but is incapable of making any sort of adjustments if his starters aren't hitting shots. Results are better than they got under Foster, but I was expecting more than simply being a well-ranked team that drops games they shouldn't and can't get over the hump against most top competition (ain't no one getting over UConn right now other than via flukish miracle, but the other top teams should be, in theory, beatable).

Kam back...

Be nice to have his 3-point shooting back now that they finish with 3/4 on the road, but I was really pleasantly surprised by how well they played without him. Illinois gave their ball-handlers trouble, but they played great against Purdue and did what they were supposed to against Iowa.

That’s a drop 2 seeds type of loss

Defense wasn't there. First game all year that I have seen the coaching staff being really animated and aggitated during the game.

Might they have been aggitated at the officiating.....Ted Valentine needs to be gone.

Needs to golf everyday and his foursome is him, Jeff Triplette, Joe West and virtually any NBA ref, doesn’t really matter which one

Yes referees were one source of aggitation but they were motioning to players that I hadn't seen during games before this one.

Seemed that during the first couple minutes that Kaleb was the only guy playing at full speed and he singlehandedly got them that 4-2 lead. Then he tweaked his ankle or whatever and NO ONE remotely picked up the slack intensity-wise. It looked like they were playing at "gotta win this one" speed and the Bucks were playing at "casual pick-up game" speed.

And it doesn't help that Tony Carr turns into the best player of basketball in sport history against OSU either.

...and CJ "Rocky Horror" Carstenson can go right behind him. That being said, this team has been overachieving and was due for a game outcome like this--unfortunately, we might get our asses handed to us on Sunday as well. However, I still like our chances in the B1G Tourney, and with a decent seed in the Dance, have an excellent shot of making it to the Sweet 16.

Tate’s the best player on the floor today, but Bucks probably won’t get the W because of one thing...turnovers...waaay too many turnovers.

Andrew Dakich, C.J. Jackson and Kam Williams today at Michigan:
3-13 FG
0-1 FT (Jackson missed front end of 1-and-1)
7 points
3 rebounds
9 fouls
4 TOs

Ohio State missed too many FTs to win on the road, but it’s especially hard when you essentially get nothing from your guards.

I haven't watched too many OSU games, but every time I watch them I always ask why Andrew Dakich plays. He never really does anything too impressive.

Unfortunately, along with Jackson, he's all they have at that position (Williams is a shooting guard who has trouble handling the ball when pressured)...hell, that's why they have to have Tate bring up the ball a lot of the time. Holtmann will need to recruit a point guard, and quickly.

OSU is currently in the second seed for the B1G tournament. Purdue is 3rd and Penn State is tied with Indiana for 6th. (Penn State plays Michigan and then @Nebraska. Indiana plays @Nebraska and then OSU) I think I'm really hoping Purdue gets Penn State in the first game and then OSU can play the winner in the second. Although at the moment in not confidant they can beat either team.

They are a fun team to watch. No selfishness, evertbody chips in and shares the ball. So much improvement from the dysfunction of the last few years.
