So the US isn't in, but I'll still watch a lot.

Brazil now the overall favorite, followed by Spain then Germany. France seems to be the trendy pick.

I'll pull for Denmark until they get bounced, but I'd like to see someone random make some noise....maybe an African team.

Who ya got?

Man, this has to be the least interested I have ever been. But I'll watch when I can. I'll take Deutschland just bc I like them

I know nothing about soccer and couldn’t name more than a couple players. I will still watch. This is my contribution.

Hate that the US isn’t in. I’ll watch because I love soccer, but it still sucks.

Unfortunately this.  It sucks the US and Italy aren't in.

So which group is considered the “group of death”? All seem decently even. Admittedly, I’m not super knowledgeable.

Could probably make the case for a few, but I'd say F.

Yeah probably F, but there really isn’t a group of death this World Cup. Most groups have two elite teams and two teams that won’t touch the next round.

Group of Death is probably F. But A, if Salah is healthy, wont be easy. Uruguay the best, Egypt is really tough with Salah and then the host country of Russia. A bunch of groups have a clear cut favorite, but the race for 2nd will be interesting.

I like Senegal to make the knockout rounds. France to win, but admittedly hate that they are the “darkhorse” now.

Pulling for the big guns to keep advancing this year, since I don’t have to worry about a USA draw. Just want the best players in the world playing later and later in the tournament.

Oh, and for Mexico to choke on their own dicks.

I don't follow soccer. When is the last time the US didn't qualify for the World Cup?

I am definitely down for Mexico not making it out of their group.  I actually haven't looked at the groups yet.  First glance, and I don't think Group F is the group of death.  Seems like it is Germany and everyone else is playing for 2nd, with Mexico having the upper hand.   It took a remarkable choke job by Italy for Sweden to get in and can anyone tell me the last time an Asian team has done well outside of Asia?

I am going with Group E.  Don't sleep on Costa Rica, they are pretty fucking tough.  Switzerland is not a gimme game either, especially playing in Europe.

Well, technically Russia is Asia. Of course, I think all the matches are in the Europe portion of Russia lol.

+1 for Mexican sucking.

Last I saw Egypt is planning to be without Salah. Sucks, I was looking forward to watching him.

Just looked it up. Weekends will be fun, doubt I'll get to tune in at all during the week.

Won't watch....Fox must be pissed that the first World Cup they pony up $$$$ to cover, the USA isn't even in it.  Trying to play up the "root for your roots" marketing campaign to drum up interest.....laughable
