I've heard that coaches at the college level have already figured out Young. That doesn't bode well at the pro level.

Good question. I watch a ton of college BB and any "figuring out" had a lot to do with how Young was essentially a one-man wrecking crew with a crappy team around him AND he'd go into "hero ball" mode pretty much from the beginning. So if they made it tougher for him to get off shots, he'd just fire up shit constantly. And then combine that with being a freshman in college, where they often hit a wall midway or so into the year and I think that's a big part of why he declined production-wise as the season went along.
In the NBA, I'd think he wouldn't be asked to carry an entire program on his back, providing via points and assists 2/3 to 3/4 of their scoring, so I'd have to think he'd have good potential to be more consistent. Now, I would question his on-court mindset, as he was a total ball-hog at Oklahoma and he'd have to adjust to being a part of a machine in the NBA, so how will he handle that change of role?
I heard Durant couldn't bench 185.
I watched probably 20 Oklahoma games. They didn’t figure “him” out, they figured out his teammates were a steaming pile of poo thus they figured the team out.
He’s still a really, really good prospect.

Lol
Did he end up leading the country in scoring and assists? That’s not figuring anyone out, especially when he shot at a relatively high clip
Can’t really figure out a guy who can get his own shot whenever he wants lol
I think when people say he was "figured out" they're referring to Oklahoma starting out 14-2 the first half of the season vs going 4-12 the second half in which he had some real shit games.
If LBJ and KL were both staying, Young would be a tremendous addition--if not, I can't see drafting him...jmo

Spot on, his game is made for today's NBA. If he goes to a competent team, they'll be able to hide his weaknesses. I think he'll light it up in a few seasons.

Regardless of whether LBJ stays, I think there's about a 5% chance K-Love is on the roster.

What'd be the incentive to trade Love before the season started? (assuming LBJ leaves)
Only reason you'd move Love is to add a better player for Lebron. And no one is dying to trade for Kevin Love and give us a better player right now.

If LBJ leaves, there's no sense in keeping Love or TT or JR, etc, etc. I think Gilbert will just blow the whole thing up down to it's bare bones and rebuild. I doubt DG will be happy trotting out a potential 8th seed roster. Just my opinion but I don't think Love will be on this roster.
When LBJ left the first time, Gilbert (and staff) tried using Antawn Jamison as their centerpiece to try to beat LBJ to his first title. I doubt we'll see them doing something like that again with Love.

This too. But I wouldn't move Love if Lebron stays unless there's someone better we can get.. which it doesnt look like it.

Well that would be the idea. If the roster is status quo, LBJ's likely gone. I think they'd need to add a few nice pieces to entice him to stay. In that scenario, Love is best trade chip they have. I can't see them adding a Leonard, McCollum, PG, Kemba Walker, etc without moving Love.
Leonard is a pipe dream. We don't have enough for the spurs. I'm not moving Love for McCollum or kemba. PG will be a Laker.

With JR and TT, I don't think it's as simple as "Well Lebron left let's trade everyone now." They both have multiple years left on terrible contracts. And they're both coming off down years so their value isn't exactly high. I'd put them on the trade block for sure but I don't think you're going to get any offers.

This is looking less and less likely as the days go on
