What is taking so long with an OC hire?

Probably a combination of Hue being difficult and OC candidates not entirely enthusiastic about joining this shitshow.

This falls under the "Hue being difficult" category but he's probably not guaranteeing Haley, McAdoo or Mularkey playcalling duties.

Browns hired Haley. I'm cool with it.

That is a terrible mock draft

I agree with this 100%. I don’t think there is any doubt Rosen should be the pick. Unless he pulls an eli he needs to be the pick

I like the pick at #4. Not so much at #1 and, frankly, I'd probably flip my lid if he or Allen were taken first overall. Even though I think Allen could be a distinct possibility.

As far as the Haley hire? Not completely hating it. As long as he's calling the plays, I'll get behind it.

I wonder if Haley will have an impact on a vet QB. Would Alex Smith fit in his scheme? Probably right?

Was reading where somebody (don't remember the guys name) feels that Smith would be a better fit than Cousins in Haley's system, should they decide to go either route.

I think Cousins could hit the tougher plays better than Smith but maybe not.

If Jacksonville goes away from Bortles I look for Smith to be the good fit there. Different and easier passing schemes with more openings to scramble.

I agree. I get the impression Haley likes to stretch the field? Maybe you can elaborate on that? I've never been of the impression that Smith had a strong arm and was more of a dink & dunk/dumpoff type passer.

Smith was one of the best deep passers this season.

As for Haley, Rapistfucker was the least hit QB this season, which leads me to believe he's in a get the ball out quick scheme which doesnt bode well for deep ball passer. I seem to remember Steelers running a ton of screens, bubble screens, etc...

Not sure about 2017 but TheRapist lead the league in deep balls (no pun intended) in 2016.

Browns should get Kirk cousins and Cavs should get Demarcus cousins and all will be well in CLE.

When Mike Munchak took over as O-line coach...it wasn’t long after Ben began getting enough time to do something. Before Munchak the line was awful and Ben never had much time.

As for Alex Smith from what I’ve watched his downfield passes are more traditional whereas Haley loves that 40 yard pass downfield right on the out of bounds line...tough ass completion.

Ive only witnessed Cousins being a little better at the Haley scheme type passes...I can’t say Smith wouldn’t be just as good or better but what I’ve seen is go Cousins

NFL establishes owner-player committee on social justice

2:16 pm

Cleveland Browns’ owner Jimmy Haslam is one of the committee members.

Yes. Ironic that the best Browns player in the last 25 years will be aged out by the time the plan should start to actually work
