Yeah, the fact that he's been pretty vocal about the screw ups of this franchise gives me the impression he might be done. Granted, he's considered an "elder statesman" so he can get away with the old man "get off my lawn" crap but current players usually aren't as critical about a team they plan on continuing to play for. Hope I'm wrong. He's not terribly old but that injury isn't the easiest thing to come back from.
Joe Schobert to be added to the Pro Bowl to replace Ryan Shazier (golf clap). First Browns LB to make it since Jamir Miller.
Looking at impending FAs, Lamarcus Joyner is one that the Browns should be going after. 27 yrs old, PFF's #3 safety and likley that Rams can't afford to keep him with their other FAs. Get Joyner, Alex Smith, and a legit WR in FA we should be cooking at least 3 wins.
Pryor disappeared this season. He’s still better than most of our wr corp though. does he make his way back to Cleveland?

Yeah I think so.
Jarvis Landry?

I'd be so down.
Add Joyner, a CB, Alex Smith, TP, and Landry in FA. Fire Hue, hire Mike Zimmer like we should have, sign Sean Ryan to be OC, Draft a QB at #1, Chubbs/Ward/Minkah at #4 we'd be in a much better spot than last yr.

Works for me but 0% chance that happens. Haha

If your team goes 0-16, every player should be disqualifed from being pro bowl eligible.
Sounds like Joe Thomas will give the front office direction on on which way his career will be going (play on or retire) by the start of free agency.

They won't get all of that but I'd think they might get some. I think that Dorsey will be very aggressive in free agency but the question is, "will top flight free agents want to come here?"
From Dorsey's comments in radio interviews, I don't get the feeling he wants to screw around. He spoke of "competing for the AFC North this year." I know, all GM's are going to say stuff like that but I get the feeling he's going to look to upgrade this roster ASAP.

As a browns fan, I’ll just say I’ll believe it when I see it. I have zero confidence in a browns FO improving our roster. “Not getting my hopes up” type thing. Hope Dorsey can do it, but I have zero confidence until I see some moves that make actual sense.
Side note: I have a feeling that our FA QB pickup is going to be teddy bridgewater. I have nothing behind that other than he just seems like a browns pickup: someone coming off a major knee injury who hasn’t played in years and was a question mark even before the injury.

That may be a good call on Bridgewater. I thought about that myself. Minny isn't going to be able to keep them all. If Bradford retires, they probably keep Teddy but I don't see Keenum hitting the market after what he's done this year.
I can't say I'm super confident about the front office but even if they hit a home run in FA and the draft, I have absolutely no faith in Hue. I think he could turn chicken salad into chicken shit. If he gives up the play calling duties I'll have a little more confidence but there are too many examples to cite that the play calling interferes with his clock management/awareness of the game.
A HC shouldn't be worrying about putting together offensive plays. The example of the communications going out against San Diego where he didn't check to see if San Diego's communications had also shut down (one team can't have a communication system if the others isn't working) and his response was "I didn't have time to check on that, I had to call the next play."
Kiper has the browns taking josh Allen at 1. Compared him to Big Ben in that he’s a big guy, outdoor QB, good work ethic and can spin the ball.
If dorsey agrees, and wants to sit him behind a stopgap FA QB, by all means make it happen.
That's about where the comparisons end with TheRapist. Allen has some serious accuracy issues. I think he might have the most upside of any of these QB's but he'll probably need to sit a year, at a minimum. Has all of the physical tools though.

Fuck no. Allen is more Lynch, Mettenberg, and Hackenberg than he is Carson Wentz. He's trash, willbe trash in the nfl. DO NOT WANT.

Agreed. I heard one of these NFL analysts on the radio and they said "if you think Josh Allen is Carson Wentz just because of where they played, you'd be wrong. Dead wrong. Allen is a major project and isn't even close to Wentz."
His career completion percentage combined with the toal number of passes he threw does not bode well historically. The names of players that fell into the group (with similar numbers) were not good.
If the Browns are going to take a QB at #1, they have to be as sure as possible on the move. Can't be rolling the dice on a project.
My point was that if Dorsey and co do their homework and see that he’s their guy, works for me. I don’t know who is going to be the best QB, so I can’t really say who to take. Dorsey and the dude from GB are here to get a franchise QB, so they better Fucking get it right.
Kiper is a dumbass.
