But but but, we should have taken Chubb!!

I'm thrilled with the Ward (wanted Baker & Chubb) pick but I'm not going to scoff at Chubb's 9 sacks as a rookie with 5 games left. Granted, he benefits from Von Miller but he'd likely also benefit from Myles Garrett too.

On another topic, heard Baker doing another press conference today. The people who interview that dude have to love it and eat that shit up. So smooth and engaging with the "no fucks given" attitude. That's got to fire his teammates up and make them want to run through a brick wall for him.

Just a really good top of the draft for the Browns. Mayfield seems to be changing the entire team’s attitude along with his really good play and Ward is really really good. Not sure you could want more out of a rookie CB

This team has acquired some cornerstone players in Mayfield, Ward, Chubb & Garrett in these last two drafts. 2019 FA and the draft is going to make this team pretty scary if they don't hire some dufus at HC.

Lol I was mad about Baker. Loved the ward pick tho. Maybe that was me being an osu homer, but I’m so sick of the browns passing on good osu players.

Never going to happen but a lot of Browns fans "wet dreams" would be for Bosa to somehow fall to them.

Would be awesome, but no way. He’ll be picked in the top 3

pretty cool...

MY CAUSE, MY CLEATS. This weekend, a few NFL players will be donning special cleats to promote causes that are dear to them. Denzel Ward is one of them, wearing his to promote heart health awareness after his father died of a heart attack in 2016.

From SI.com:

“Representing this cause is in my dad’s name. Before he passed away in 2016 from a heart attack, he had a motto he used to always say: ‘Make them know your name.’ Either on the football field, or in the world, impacting people in a positive way and doing things to make the world know your name.”

“I want to bring awareness to heart health, preventing heart attacks and educating people on using things like an AED (automated external defibrillator) to help resuscitate people who may be going through a heart attack. My dad had his heart attack during a spin class, and there was actually a defibrillator there at the facility, but it was sitting on the wall and no one used it. So, more training, more devices and more educating people on how to use a defibrillator. It’s not very hard to use it, so just educating people and giving them confidence so they’re not afraid to use it. If someone would have used it on my dad, he could have had a chance to still be alive.”

“My dad motivates me every day. That was my best friend, someone who I wanted to make proud throughout life. He was a school principal, so that’s what he was all about, giving back and doing whatever he could to change peoples’ lives. I remember that his funeral was packed with all the people he had impacted—the kids he had worked with, teachers, friends. He made people know his name, and that’s what motivates me.”

The cleats themselves are pretty fantastic:

Back in the olden days, they used to fine players for wearing cleats that flashy. Now, they're promoting it as a cause. I sure ain't mad about it.

I thought Denzel was a reach at 4.  So far I am happy to say I was wrong.  Also wasn't on board with Baker #1, also so far happy to say I am wrong lol.

This was me. I thought both picks were bad. I'm extremely happy with both now.

With him hurting the media's feelings I could see them handing it to someone else. Glad they didn't though.

Actually, I think the media loves him. Seems like they eat up his every word. If he's smart, he tapers it down a little or every week he's going to be getting non-game related questions. Yesterday he had 12 questions about Hue and his comments and maybe 2 or 3 about actual football. I have no issue with his comments toward Hue but he could save himself a lot of wasted time answering stupid/bullshit questions if he doesn't comment on everything.

That looks like a chart to save for some day when you feel like mocking Justin about his Jets, with how Darnold is the lowest ranked high first-rounder.

Haha after 1 quarter you didn’t want him? It’s 27-14 now, do you want him now?

Shoot, I could have read that wrong. Thought maybe he was saying after the slow start he wouldn’t pout about not getting Riley.

I would—I don’t want him...if it’s going to be a college coach with no NFL experience, I’d take my chances with Campbell.
