Like the trade but still think they need to add a starting arm to fill out that 5th spot. If they were to make the playoffs, don't trust a Clevinger-Bieber-Plesac top 3 with Kluber & Salazar being unknowns. Not confident in their rotation, right now.

Really putting weight into Kluber coming back, and have to hope Carrasco can. I'm more of a Salazar to the pen believer than a starter this year. Since Kluber was a break and not something lingering, I think he will be fine. Not 2017 Kluber, but he's still good.

Per Buster Olney, the Indians might not be done.

Saw a meme on Facebook and chuckled. Said 1. Puig gets traded to Cleveland....2. Puig immediately starts fighting guys from Pittsburgh.

You guys got Reyes! Wow

I’m shocked.... Antonetti should be arrested for larceny.

I wanted Tribe to go with SD, but for prospects. Didn’t think in any universe a proven power bat with 5(?) years of team control was available. They must LOVE Trammell.

What does everyone hope the lineup looks like now? I’m leaning towards this:

  1. Lindor
  2. Mercado
  3. Santana
  4. Reyes
  5. Ramirez
  6. Puig
  7. Kipnis
  8. Perez
  9. Naquin (Luplow vs RHP, hitting 7, slide everyone else)

I think I’d prefer Puig at 2, and Mercado 6/7, but I doubt Tito switched the top 3. Puig has hit cleanup and Reyes 2-hole most of the year, for reference.

I’m super glad that we don’t have to bat Kipnis cleanup anymore. Tito should do the right thing and drop Mercado in the order.

I like it....does Ramirez coming around move him up and Mercado down?

DH? Puig superior in RF to Reyes

I assumed he meant one would play right and the other would DH. Reyes is more DH and LF. I think Puig plays right, and if he would DH Naquin would play right. Need cannons out there. Reyes D isn’t stellar out there.

If Puig is in the lineup....it should be in RF. Ups and downs hitting....RF play HOF

I have Ramirez in the 5-hole still. But if Tito wants to move him up and Mercado down that works also. I like Mercado’s bat a lot but not in the 2-hole versus the elite playoff pitchers.
