Why is PSU automatically a lock. Their best win was Illinois back in September. Just beat up on all the shitty teams in the Big10 all season.

Because they were #3 and lost pretty close in a conference championship game and committee won’t drop them a lot or will cause chaos with those games in the future. Played OSU tight.

So many teams got lucky with only having 1 tough game in regular season

Admittedly I’m just sick of Penn State. A month ago when they’d lost to OSU again the knock continued to be they/James Franklin can’t win the big games. They beat up on inferior Big 10 teams, lost to the two teams better than them, and here you go, here’s your home playoff game. Also, I don’t care about close losses. A close loss is still a loss. It was the same story last year. Lose to OSU, lose to Michigan, get a bowl game and lose that, too.

I say all that and watch them win the national championship.

Cannot believe how much easier Georgia’s path is compared to Oregon’s.

Penn St at #6 set it all up

Penn State’s seeding is absolute bullshit.

The right call and a bit of a surprise since I was thinking ESecPN would pull strings to get Bama in.

Georgia’s top competitors to keep them from the championship game:

Notre Dame, Indiana, Penn St, SMU, Boise St

Oregon’s competition:

Ohio St, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona St

Out of 100 people, fans or coaches….would any of the 100 choose Oregon’s path?

Ohio U’s coach didn’t ride bus back with team from championship game….he’s already signed to take over at Charlotte

Teams shouldn’t be allowed to do that before the coach’s season is over

That is a load of shit, as a proud alum, I hope he gets the AIDS. Which being in Charlotte should accomplish. Shit, is that even an upward move? Lateral at best, probably a step back.

Of course, same can be said about the portal and guys diving into it the second the regular season ends, regardless of bowls or other teams still playing. Hell, three or so nobodies on Ohio State entered it and they are in the playoffs.

Need to make a rule that, because NIL, you're on a one-year contract and no one goes anywhere until that year is over. January whatever, open the floodgates. Until then, players and coaches stay where they are.

I legit lol’d at “hope he gets the aids”

I don’t care who leaves but there needs to be a set timeframe with significant penalties

I can’t believe this.  If Texas or Ohio State or Wisconsin or something came along, I get it.  But bailing on your players for Charlotte?  You can make a reasonable case that not only is this not a step up, it could also be a step back.  If he thinks Charlotte is going to become the next UCF or Cincinnati - well that is the only thing I can conceive.  He isn’t going to be making the FU money at Charlotte.  NC is not a college football hotbed.  Plus it already has UNC, NC State, Duke, Wake Forest, App State.

Bewildering

No.  He’s from Oklahoma.  Never played or coached anywhere in the southeast.  Maybe he’s got family there or his wife’s from there.

Maybe his OU contract isn’t what it should be and they won’t up it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I went to OU and absolutely loved it and while I think he’s an ahole for not even giving the team time to celebrate as an adult I think I would take living in Charlotte over Athens, Ohio.

I understand all of that.  And he’s done a great job - that’s why I hate seeing him go.  It was a poor move letting it get announced right after their big win.

As far as quality of football, it’s not a step up.  The pay may be better (although Charlotte won’t be paying anything close to Power 5 money), but I would guess only marginally so.  He goes from being a big fish in a little pond to being a tiny fish in a place where most probably are unaware they even have a D1 football program.

I like your love of OU.  I’m an alum too.

Hey, if he wants to go to a bigger place with more stuff to do, that's cool. Because he'll have a lot more time to do that stuff since he'll be a fucking loser with a shit program.

So my friend from high school works at Charlotte….she posted a pic on FB with Coach Albin and his wife. He’s already there and set up.
