Will be interesting to see if they end up locking up Lamar long-term. I've mentioned this before in that I could see them riding out the tag with him and then letting him walk, adding a similar QB in the draft down the road.

Wow....expected someone like Heyward but not a younger guy. With Pittsburgh in a somewhat rebuild, a guy like Heyward isn't going to be around for the success. Would think the only untouchables on that roster would be Watt and (maybe) Fitzpatrick.

LOL, some think Claypool could be a stud on a real offense. Others think he's a lazy idiot. But apparently teams still look at a young player and see what they saw on draft day, rather than what he's been putting on film.

Yeah, I'd say so. Regardless of his size or potential, dude hasn't been anything more than a pure possession receiver with his under-10 YPC numbers, so getting a #2 for him is pretty nice. Sure, you could put some/a lot of the blame for that on QB play, but Justin Fields hasn't exactly shown so far that he's some huge step up, as least as far as passing goes.
Regardless, every day that Matt Canada remains the OC is a day the team is wasting as far as actually improving goes.
