What is your opinion on mushrooms? No, not that kind, Heretic.

I've been eating them a lot lately, browning them up a bit in omelettes. My wife complains and says they make the house smell like poop.

I like them roasted in olive oil and butter with garlic, salt and pepper. I stick to basic white mushrooms, but wouldn't mind trying some other varieties.

I've been doing sliced white's for my omelettes, but love them all. Few things better than a morel fried in butter.

we do them with steaks quite often. Usually just the basic white or baby Bella’s.

You need to pay attention to the species of the feces. I would suggest you try some shiitake shrooms

I'll eat hearty mushrooms like bellos and shiitake, those out of a can are garbage

Yeah, not a fan of canned mushrooms unless they're going into a chili or something.

Canned mushrooms or mushrooms in general, in chili?

Mushrooms are filler.  Tasteless sponges.  They have no business anywhere near chili.  It's like trying to make brownies healthy.  Don't do it.

They taste "earthy" to me, and I like that taste.

I think that canned mushrooms in general are terrible but in chili that sounds absolutely disgusting. I have had pizza from places and unexpectedly got canned mushrooms.. it wasn’t the worst

I'd throw your half-assed vegan chili in the toilet.

But it also has beef and sausage in it...

That's why I called it "half-assed" vegan.

More for me. I only started adding them after my sister-in-law made it with mushrooms.

Delicious vegan chili with two kinds of meat, cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.

Same as most on here. I have been eating them recently, but nothing out of a can with them. Cook them with some onions is delicious topping for meat.

I start not liking them if they are rubbery.

Had a wood fire pizza tonight with “wild” mushrooms, pine nuts, carmelized onions, mozzarella and gorgonzola cheese on it. Very good.

It was picked up from a nice bistro called Broken Rocks in Wooster.

Morels are the GOAT and other and other types are good on pizza and in omelettes.
