My wife and I will be staying in downtown Cleveland on a Saturday night in a few weeks, and are looking for somewhere in the downtown area to eat that evening. I've always been curious about Lola's, but have been disappointed by the name/celebrity chef type of places in other cities. Any recommendations? We're open to almost any type of cuisine. Thanks for any serious suggestions and the inevitable McDonalds post.

Lola is pretty solid. Greenhouse Tavern also very good and close to Lola.

Crop Bistro, but you have to get the Tour De Crop where the chef prepares for you at the table. Excellent meal.

We recently enjoyed Cleveland Chop on St. Clair near W. 6th........if you would care to "step foot" in there! :-)
