Things got a little out of control this weekend on cigarbid.

Walk us through “re-humidifying”.

It's not too complicated.  Put them in an already-charged humidor (at ~70% humidity, which is where I already keep mine) and rotate them a quarter turn every other day.  It'll take time ... at least a few weeks ... but eventually, you'll be able to feel that they're back to how they should be.

Worth noting, if you try to do it too quickly, you can actually crack the wrapper.  No bueno.

Hell yeah.  For what you spent, that's the mother lode.  $121.50 for 37 quality sticks?  That's a steal.

does anyone have a recommendation for a humidor? the one i have HAS to be fucked up. i've got 5 boveda 72% packs in it and a distilled water wick pod and it's sitting at 60-64% on 2 different hygrometers.

FWIW this is the one i have - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CDWB8QR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm looking to stay under $100 so it shouldn't be that hard, but this thing let me down so much i figured i'd ask what everyone was rocking on here.

This is the one I've had for about ten years now, a 120-stick Venetian.  It's held up through two moves and a few mini-moves (moving it and my other things to or from an office).  I maybe pay attention to it once every two weeks or so, when I add a little distilled water, but that's it (obviously, the one in the picture isn't mine).

Might be harder to find these days.  I got it in 2009.  I know CI is out of stock, but maybe you'll find it somewhere else.  I do think it was a little north of $100, but it was definitely under $150.

I have this one.  Pretty happy with it, although I'd say it holds more like 40 sticks.  Maybe 50 if you have some stubs.  Inner dimensions are something like 9.5 X 8" by like 4" deep (so you can stack 4 cigars).

I see a lot of serious cigar folks eschew humidors al together in favor of clear plastic storage.

I'd guess tupperware for long-term storage.  Probably leaks a lot less than a humidor.  I suppose an really good air-tight one would, theoretically, require no maintenance.

I don't know.  Lighting something up and smoking it when it's been in stale air for several years doesn't sound very appealing to me.

I've seen this particular brand (Sistema) recommended a lot. And, at least for me, the "frequently bought together" section of the page pairs it with a cedar tray and boveda packs. I think I'm going to pick one up because my humidor isn't quite as sealed up as I'd like it to be.

I've seen a couple people do that, too.  If I kept any for longer than a couple years at a time, I might go that route.  Maybe someday I will.

My order came in today. Highly impressed with the speed of delivery, given the order was processed on Tuesday morning. Sticks look to be of great quality. Unfortunately, my humidor will not hold them all so I need to expand.

So I have to go the "soak" method to recharge my packs.  Really annoyed that the osmosis method wouldn't work.  I just don't understand it - maybe it doesn't work if the packets got too dry?

I won a box of 10 cigars a few weeks ago that only 2230 boxes of 10 were produced. Tatuaje L'esprit de Verite 2013. Looks like retail is $16.00 a cigar. Had one last night and I wasn't really impressed by it. Really glad they were free or else I'd have been really bummed. I actually preferred the Perdomo Double Aged 12 years Vintage - Maduro, that I had after it, over the Tatuaje at half the price.

The house passed a bill that would ban online sales of cigars. It would likely never make it out of the Senate, but it's still infuriating seeing stuff like this actually passing in the house. Is there anything these sociopaths don't want to ban out of existence?

Had an Opus the other day.

Not for any special occasion.  I'm just running low on sticks.
