I suck at chopping wood and maple syrup is mined like gold by those that do it. It’s all good.

Me too. The right tools help. That chopping maul she has is huge. No way I could pull pieces apart like her. Maybe the syrup has anabolic properties or something.
One time I almost chopped off part of an index finger with a hatchet trying to cut a piece into kindling. This winter I bought a Kindling Cracker, much safer.
