Sprint has more towers/bigger coverage/better network than ATT and T-Mobile.. Which is why you get better reception... The only Cell company that rivals Sprint in terms of coverage, is Verizon..
Also, if you're buying a phone off of Ebay, BEWARE. Sprint phones are activated by the ESN number, so make sure the seller guarantees it to be a clean one, meaning it's not in use, the phone is free of ANY contract...
WebOS 1.3.5 coming soon according to Palm CEO.
By: Matthew Pankey December 17th, 2009 1 Comment
During a conference call, Jon Rubinstein (Palm CEO) stated that webOS version 1.3.5 is coming soon. Some changes to expect.
* Allowing for installation of more apps
* Enhances WiFi and app performance
* Improved battery life
* Increased speed and responsiveness on the Palm Pixi
Developer announcements are expected to come at CES 2010 in January, with “thousands” of apps expected soon. Additionally, new marketing plans are expected to launch across the board.

IMEX,
I am really considering getting the Pre. I have the SERO plan so I guess I'll have to pay more because Sprint won't allow you to upgrade the SERO plan with all the droid and webos phones. I could get the HTC Touch Pro 2, but I'm already tired of my touch pro 1 and i've only had it 1 1/2 years.
When you download Homebrew apps do you have to have a different OS than Palm puts out? Sorta like when you hack the PSP you have to have the homebrew OS.
I really like my PRE(Sprint timed exclusive) more than any pda/smartphone I've had before.... It's still missing some features but it's getting better with every update.
I love the "cards" feature, allowing multiple applications to run at once with ease. Web browsing is so much easier and better experience than my past phones and easier to use than my ipod touch.
adobe flash player and video recording coming within the next 30 days.

I've played with blackberry, solid phone but couldn't hold Pre or Heroes jock.... My wife just got the Hero. Its a pretty nice phone, can't wait till sprint gets the new android upgrade.
Blackberry is an old operating system just selling by name, they are great phones but being left in dust with Palm, android and iphone advances.

palm pre plus and palm pixi plus will be available on verizon within the next few weeks
Jan. 25th release on Verizon......as far as BB not holding Pre's jock...it depends on what you need it for. There is no smartphone out there close to the email capanilities of BlackBerry...thats why I stick with them for now. If they redo their OS then I might be BB for life...If they don't, and some other phone figures out how to push email like BB...then I'm going that way.
