Just a note of interest, Hillis was originally a Linebacker before Denver switched him to RB when they basically ran out.

I read rumors somewhere today about a possible B Marshall trade to Tampa in exchange for there 1st. Denver could and probably definately would screw us and grab Berry. JMO

I can't see trading the #3 pick for Brandon Marshall.

No offense, but there are only a couple WR's who were ever worth that kind of pick, and he isn't one of them.

He's worth at best a mid 1st rounder, as most teams who are picking in the top half have way more needs than a WR. You don't go 3-13 because you had bad WR play.

^^ ur crazy. id take a proven all-star who is one of the best in the league at his position over an unproven and mostly overhyped kid anyday.

And you'd be fired shortly.

Marshall is a hell of a player, but you don't trade top 5 picks for WR's. If you're picking in the top 5,(unless you made a trade the year before) a WR isn't going to do shit to help you team. You'd be better served to try and trade for more picks, or picking someone to help shore up your biggest weaknesses.

If you're picking in the top 5,(unless you made a trade the year before) a WR isn't going to do shit to help you team.
When you drafted your QB of the future last year (Freeman), essentially using the 3rd pick on a wideout like Marshall who is only 25 years old and has 3 100 catch seasons in a row is about as big a homerun as you can hit in the draft if you can pull it off.

That would immediately help that team, and help the development of the franchise QB as he would have a dynamic young receiver to grow with. They want to give him every opportunity to succeed, and to do that you have to surround him with weapons.

About time the somewhat "mainstream" media got ahold of this story.

BTW....besides Sims, we may see things heat up with offers to RFA's soon. I'm not expecting them to enter this draft with ALL 12 picks. I also wouldn't give up our 4th rounder for Sims. I think he could be had for one of our 5th's.

^^^What do you think about swinging a deal for V Jax out of SD? He's a legit #1 wr that we desperately need, although I don't want to give up the farm for him as we have other pressing NEEDS on the other side of the ball.

I'd love to have Vincent Jackson. Holmgren talked about getting "speed" at the WR position. I'd like to see them take a look at Jacoby Ford in this draft. I think he could be our Desean Jackson.

A 1st & 3rd is way too steep for Jackson though.

i know the small arguement is little tired but isn't Jacoby Ford pretty tiny?

5'10" & 185...he'd be used as a #3 in the slot. You'd get a #1, MoMass would be the #2 and Ford the #3. They need someone who would strike some fear into the opposition with their speed. They aren't going to get that with Cement Shoes Robo as the 3.

I was really hoping they would target J Shipley (Texas) in the 3-4 round. Everything about him reminds me of Wes Welker. He has great hands with ok speed and is a hell of a possesion receiver out of the slot. A perfect fit for the WCO.

Desean Jackson is around 5'10 176-185 I believe, so size really hasn't affected his play much. I wouldn't mind seeing us also nab Eric Decker out of Minnesota in the later rounds. He's a big receiver with soft hands.

Another name to look at as far as QB's in the later rounds (yes I know I'll probably get criticized for this but I don't care) is Armanti Edwards. Guy is a proven winner (yes at D-IAA but so was Steve McNair), has an arm that can make all the throws and is mobile. Could be a nice low risk/high reward prospect in the later rounds.

The Browns were 1 of several teams to be on hand for his workout yeaterday. The Bills are extremely high on him, but I'm with you...6-7th rounder maybe? If nothing else, he could be another gadget guy for us. There would be alot of speed with Cribbs, Wallace, and Edwards in the lineuip together. Could cause a lot of mismatches.

Something to keep an eye on: today is florida's pro day. It will be interesting to see what time haden runs. I expect 4.45 - 4.5 range, which would be a huge improvement.

^^And also, Tebow has a chance to show teams if his throwing mechanics have improved and how he looks under center and see if he can make all of the throws and NFL QB should be able to make. But I am interested to see what haden does also...Does anybody know how Thad Gibson and Coleman did in the OSU Pro Day, or have the had it yet?
