^^^^Haden ran in the high 4.3s to high low 4.4s today in his workout. A hell of an improvement and would love to have him at 7. NO FUCKING CLAUSEN!

Everyone is saying this. They think Wes Welker because he is the only other white receiver worth a damn. A few years ago it was Wayne Cherbet. I'd stay away from Shipley.miller45452003 wrote: I was really hoping they would target J Shipley (Texas) in the 3-4 round. Everything about him reminds me of Wes Welker. He has great hands with ok speed and is a hell of a possesion receiver out of the slot. A perfect fit for the WCO.

^^^^JMO...and BTW Chrebet did not have a horrible career...nothing eye popping by any means, but somewhat consistent. You don't play in the league for the same team for 11-12 years (jets) by not producing. He had somewhere along the lines of 600 catches and 7500 yards for his career...I'd say this is an upgrade in Cleveland from what we have now. To not take a guy like this in the 3rd-4th is nuts. Again JMO and you can have yours.

Total shocker! Everyone was saying "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" with his Combine times. Myself and a few others said "he still has his Pro Day, people."miller45452003 wrote: ^^^^Haden ran in the high 4.3s to high low 4.4s today in his workout. Total, complete, lengthy facepalm.11:15 a.m. -- It's almost Tebow Time. Hearing sirens in the background, and the clouds are starting to part
Whether he's better or not the garbage these clowns print in reference to everything he does is an embarassment to responsible journalism.

Eagles have just released O-Lineman Shawn Andrews. Believe he was a Heckert guy....If he can still play he's one of the top run blockers in the league. He has had a bad back and depression issues.

This could change everything, speaking about Tebow.
You know the guy has the intangibles and everything else, athleticism and toughness, if he's already shown good improvement in the mechanics just in a matter of a couple months that speaks volumes about his potential as a "true" quarterback.

I'm not sure that his recent improvements will or should realistically be enough to move him up the draft board. It may make a team feel a little more comfortable taking him, but I'm not sure his advancements can move him ahead of what's available.

I read he wants to be a QB first but will do whatever it takes to be in the NFL.spartan wrote: i read he wants to wr in the nfl. (but McNAir was a lot bigger then edwards who measured only 5'10 or 5'11)
The height argument is the lamest and most overrated knock against a quarterback. Last I checked the reigning Super Bowl MVP happens to be a quarterback at around the same height named Drew Brees. Height is not a major factor in evaluating a quarterback's ability.

I really can not see Shipley lasting past early-mid third round.
I think he will be a good pro, 2nd or 3rd receiver and ST guy.
Problem is, he would be better than any current Browns receiver and they have no #1 guy.

Tebow can throw the deep ball with accuracy and he's athletic enough to extend plays and throw after the initial coverage breaks down.
This is very similar to Roethlisberger in 2004, as a rookie, when the Steelers went 15-1. Run a lot, throw off the play-action or run around and wait until somebody gets open. I think Tebow has the same survival tools so to speak if he were thrust into action.
He has a lot of work to do in terms of reading coverages right off of the snap and throwing from the pocket, but most QBs struggle with this when they come into the league. Even Peyton Manning, as cerebral as they come, threw a lot of interceptions in his rookie season.
Just in a couple months Tebow has changed his mechanics and it's showing improvements. When you consider everything else he brings to the table, it starts to make more sense.
There are several teams just in the Top 20 picks that should consider him IMO

Think he would take a shot on Timmy in the 2nd?

I honestly wouldn't be upset if Cleveland took Tebow with a 2nd round pick.
