Saying that, I wouldn't say Tebow would be my perfect 2nd round pick. I'm sure someone else on the board at that point would be more appealing to me but I wouldn't be upset. I'd be more upset if we took Jimmy Boy with the 7th pick.

He would be the perfect QB in this draft for Holmgren to mold into a NFL QB.
He (Holmgren) has a pretty good track record doing so, and I cant see a better situation for him than Cleveland as far as development.

I'd be surprised if he falls that far now.
I think he's going in the top 20-25.

Totally agree and I think Holmgren has him in mind but is also putting smokescreens in his message like he isn't totally sold on Tebow. I think Holgrem wants people to think there is a chance that they will take him but also a chance that he isn't interested.Eric Taylor wrote: He would be the perfect QB in this draft for Holmgren to mold into a NFL QB.

I think Cleveland would be a good situation because he has time to develop and you aren't putting all the stock and money into him if you get him in the 2nd round.

I think it would be a waste of a pick.Keebler wrote: I honestly wouldn't be upset if Cleveland took Tebow with a 2nd round pick.
If you're gonna go with a QB in the second, I'd rather it be McCoy.

It's missing Oakland's 3rd for Wimbley which is either the 3rd or 21st.

Yeah I couldn't find it any way like that. The stuff I google'd just had what # pick in what round.

Reghi just said that rob sims is on the brink of being released by seattle and holmgren is interested.

If Simms isn't good enough to be on Seattles team, why is he so coveted?

Unless he has totally lost it in only 4 years (possible but not likely) he's getting released because the new regime is scapegoating him for some of the problems of last year.pkebker wrote: If Simms isn't good enough to be on Seattles team, why is he so coveted?
I saw a piece on him where the Seattle writer was pretty much saying this, and said that Sims was a target of frustration with the poor OL play, but that he was being targeted unfairly.
If he's healthy, he'd be a solid addition to build depth for the OL, in my view.

What position does Cleveland need the most ? The draft will be wild this year. I foresee all kinds of picks being traded right before the draft.
Holmgren spent some time today talking with Haden and his family. I hear that Joe strained his back benching at the combine leading to his slow 40 time. Today he was solid in all phases.

Sims was the best of a not so good Seattle O-Line last year.
As far as Tebow goes, I'm with WB and would prefer McCoy.

Cleveland's two biggest needs are safety and CB.
Those are immediate needs.
They also need to draft a QB for the future, along with a LB or two to develop, and some OL for the future.
The remaining biggest need is a No. 1 WR and I'm not sure how Holmgren is going to go about filling it. I don't see them using their first choice (Berry or Haden are more likely) or second (I see McCoy going here). I guess it's possible they could draft a quality WR in the third that could eventually be a no. 1, but it seems unlikely.

Looks like they need everything but a LT, C and a guy to return kicks...Writerbuckeye wrote: Cleveland's two biggest needs are safety and CB.

Yes, but there is a priority for what positions we need, which is what buckeye is trying to say. Safety and CB must be addressed or teams will continue to light us up.Sonofanump wrote:Looks like they need everything but a LT, C and a guy to return kicks...Writerbuckeye wrote: Cleveland's two biggest needs are safety and CB.

I like Scott. His worst game was vs. Florida. I met his parents before that game and they were great to chat with. I'd say he is a typical RB, strong, dependable, nothing spectacular but very capable of getting yards.BR1986FB wrote: http://cle.scout.com/2/954907.html
