Does anyone actually watch the ESPYs? Other than people with absolutely no lives, that is.
Just wondering because I never have and the concept of it just seems even more stupid than the average mutual masturbation awards show.

Last time I watched it, i was about 15 years old. From my understanding the ratings have been plummeting every year. I can't imagine it getting any better considering there is actually lot going on this summer in terms of sports. Normally it's in the middle of a dead/boring period of sports. After the World Cup, we will have the FIBA World Championships.Heretic;1634702 wrote:Does anyone actually watch the ESPYs? Other than people with absolutely no lives, that is.

ESPYs are stupid. I've never watched and I never will. I can't wait until Sam is cut for being a terrible football player and he can put this courage to good use selling used cars in California.

This guy is definitely tougher than Johnny Fuckup and you can almost be sure that POS will win some kind of ESPY.

No. Just like no one cared about "Who's Now?"

I will say though nobody else deserves the award than him. I know ESPN has blown it out of proportion but growing up playing sports it's hard to imagine if I was gay admitting it. Like that's gutsy for a star player of a college team to actually do that

The ESPYs are nothing more than filler on the worlds slowest sports day each year (day after ASG)
Even if it doesn't rate that well, they assume it's better than sitting there talking about how no major sport is in action that day
They do the same thing on radio all day, turning into the Jimmy V fundraiser

Probably the most successful male athlete to come out? He was pretty damn good right before Phelps blew up.vball10set;1635695 wrote:In somewhat related news, the "Thorpedo" comes out.....with a nickname like that, how could he not :RpS_bored:

Greg Louganis is IMO the most successful (male) gay athlete given his time in the day and age when Americans cared about diving. Now it seems a foregone conclusion that the US can no longer compete in the competition regularly.
