You REALLY think the rams have enough balls to not carry him on the roster?sleeper;1616637 wrote:This. And if he somehow got drafted and kissed a boy on TV and the world was outraged he could simply state: "He's my boyfriend, I don't see the big deal. Stay out of my personal life".
He did this for money since he's never going to play in the league anyway.
It is a done deal, he will be on the 53 man roster, barring injury, and at the VERY LEAST...the practice squad.
No way they cut him.

They're really deep at that position. He could definitely be cut but in that case I see him getting picked up by another team. Because despite all the reports that he's small at the position or whatever he was still the SEC DPOTY and some team is going to take a shot at him.thavoice;1616640 wrote:You REALLY think the rams have enough balls to not carry him on the roster?

Well he sucks so if the Rams keep him it will be because he is gay. Do gays really want the stigma that they only get things in life because they are gay? They already took that step with the protected class so maybe they do.thavoice;1616640 wrote:You REALLY think the rams have enough balls to not carry him on the roster?

He's a 7th round charity draft pick. Very few 7th round picks actually make the NFL much less an undersized DE who only won SEC DPOTY because he racked up sacks against sub-par competition. He was projected as undrafted and a special teams player at best but he's probably too slow to do even that.I Wear Pants;1616666 wrote:How do you know he sucks already?
In summary, he only was drafted because he was gay and if he makes the team it will be only because he is gay. This is the burden he placed on himself by making a big deal out of his sexual choices.

The onus lies with the Rams whose selection, IMO, was more of a pr move than selecting what they consider is a viable 7th rounder. Why is it his fault he got drafted?

Not his fault that he got drafted. He used the gay agenda to get enough PR that by not drafting him it would have been a huge media uproar. Essentially, he used homosexuality as his pimp to advance his own career and make money and the best part is gay people look up to him as some sort of hero. He used you for money; enjoy!Mohican00;1616690 wrote:The onus lies with the Rams whose selection, IMO, was more of a pr move than selecting what they consider is a viable 7th rounder. So there's little risk in drafting him and lots to gain. If he sucks, well he was a 7th round pick and that happens all the time. If he turns out to be decent you got a good player in the 7th round for pennies and he came with lots of free media coverage.sleeper;1616683 wrote:He's a 7th round charity draft pick. When did the SEC become sub-par competition? Last I checked they were kicking the shit out of the Big 10 regularly.
Anyway, now that I think about it he might be a bit hypocritical with his statements regarding him being just a football player but then doing the Oprah show. But honestly I think anyone of us would likely do the same for the pile of money he's being offered. In a perfect world this thing would go more like Jason Collins or Robbie Rogers where they came out, there was a big to do about it because it's an easy story, and then nothing much else happened until they were playing again.

He got most of his sacks against North Arkansas and Vanderbilt. Sorry that facts get in the way of your hero.I Wear Pants;1616695 wrote:So there's little risk in drafting him and lots to gain. It's the same with Jason Collins. He's a washed up hoops player who came out because no one was going to pick him up but then the Nets or whoever picked him up, not because he's a good player but because he is gay. He is not a hero; he is using the gay agenda for personal gain.

Nah. You said it yourself he was projected [by some] to go as a UDFA. So if he's not good enough to be drafted and doesn't get drafted, where's the uproar?sleeper;1616694 wrote:Not his fault that he got drafted. Because gay people would say the NFL didn't draft him because he was gay. Gay people don't care about facts; they just want to advance their agenda.Mohican00;1616703 wrote:Nah. And I would have turned down the money because my sexual orientation and pride in myself is more important than selling out for money. The guy is a fraud and yet is labeled a hero. That is who the gay community chooses to idolize and they wonder why they turn everyone off from their 'movement'.

It'll be pretty entertaining to watch the Gay Mafia up in Stan Kroenke's grill after Sam gets cut.

Or more likely there will be a small number of people who claim that it was motivated by his sexuality and then there will be a large number of people upset that "the gays" are upset that Sam got cut.fish82;1616724 wrote:It'll be pretty entertaining to watch the Gay Mafia up in Stan Kroenke's grill after Sam gets cut.

I think he is more likely to end-up on practice squad. I believe you can be on practice squad for two years...after a year or two, he media will have long moved on a he could probably be cut without much fuss.
Deadspin is reporting Sam will do a reality show overseen by Oprah. So it's becoming clear that all this was with an eye on a post-football career that Sam probably knows is coming much sooner than later.

"In fact, we're told Oprah's crew was in the room when Sam learned he had been drafted by the St. Louis Rams ... and clearly knew his big celebratory kiss with his BF would make for great reality television. "
^^^just for anyone who still doubted the wedding cake kiss wasn't staged.

More and more that comes out, pun intended, shows that this was all a huge setup to push the agenda.....
