Nice of them to do it when they won't make the NCAA anyways. I don't find this "admirable" at all.

How good is Gonzaga this year?
Is this a championship caliber team or a typical Gonzaga team that walks through a 15/16 seed, squeeks by a 7/8 seed, then loses in the sweet sixteen when everyone figured they would despite being ranked higher?

I dont see them as a legit contender. 2nd round to elite 8, depending on matchups.

I've not watched Gonzaga but unless they make back to back final fours at some point I'll probably never trust them in the tournament.

They're elite this year but as Terry said it's impossible to trust them in the tourney. But this year they are more well rounded than before. They should have beat us in Tucson and I believe we're their only loss so far.SportsAndLady;1703633 wrote:How good is Gonzaga this year?

While last night's game was closer than they would have liked, I personally got sold on Gonzaga being good this year after they demolished St. Mary's on January 22nd. SMC is usually the one WCC opponent who gives em trouble.

Gonzaga is a very balanced team with good size and perimeter defenders who can guard.Karnowski is huge and has some decent offensive skills. He is a little slow and plodding which is an issue at the defensive end. Sabonis is strong and very skilled. His father taught him well. Both are lefties, which can be an advantage. Pangos and Bell form a experienced and athletic backcourt. Pangos has become a pass first point guard and Bell is a willing and energetic defender. Both shoot above 40% from behind the arc. Transfers Kyle Wiltjer and Byron Wesley have added scoring punch(Wiltjer) and athleticism(Wesley). All 5 starters average double figures. I am not sure the Zags are a Final Four team, but they are definitely capable of getting to a regional final.

Duke is just absolutely drilling ND. 45-19 with 2 min to go in half. They are on fire! One of most impressive half of offensive basketball I have seen.

How does MSU lose to a depleted Illinois team at home?

Goodness Duke killed ND. Had a 43-7 run in the first half and shot 61% for the game

Okie State beats Kansas.
Pretty good week for the Cowboys. Beating Texas and Kansas.

UK needs to get Lyles back and Dakari Johnson contributing. Both are very key offensively and on the boards. Towns has really become a force the last few weeks.

Duke and Carolina will never again reach the heights it did under the watch of Dean Smith and Mike Krzyzewski, arguably the two greatest coaches in the history of the game. This is a sad day. Rest in peace.

Your point is well taken, but college basketball will never be what it was because of the one and done players. They are ruining a great game.
