Satisfying win today for the Blue Devils. St. John's made them earn it the difficult way, with a late rally after trailing double digits in the second half.

1000 victories for Mike Krzyzewski. Go Duke.

Duke lost this game at the free throw line. Nine for fucking 19. Absolutely pathetic. As dominant as Jah Okafor is, he is an utter liability on the offensive end in crunch time with the opposition in foul mode. His method to shooting free throws appears to be just aim for the backboard.

Notre Dame is a damn fine team, though, led by one of the top playmakers on any team anywhere, Jerian Grant. That 30-foot three he hit in the first half set the tone for the game. Fortune was definitely with the Irish on this night. They hit some really tough shots late.

Duke is just not that great this year. I see an early exit in the NCAA tourney, probably in the round of 32.

Just saw that.

LOL'd because of CC.

Interesting that they said he consistently couldn't meet duke standards, then why was he getting minutes? Why not sit him and see if it doesn't change him from the get go

And maybe they were, I don't watch all their games. But thought that was interesting.

Well they only have 8 scholarship players now. That could be a factor.

If you didn't see problems with Sulaimon on the horizon you weren't paying attention. His minutes dropped from last year and for junior that has to difficult to swallow. He only played 12 minutes @Notre Dame.Certainly, his season wasn't what he expected after last year..... Where will he end up?

The quote from K was comical. His talent didn't outweigh his mistakes. So, if the talent is insane, are more mistakes allowed? If this was any other coach, that quote would've been blown up.

I was going to say the same, but I didn't want to be a hater.

As Ahdonis pointed out, Sulaimon's playing time and, consequently, productivity at Duke have steadily dropped since his breakout freshman season in 2012-13. I have no idea what ultimately led to the dismissal, but there were certainly warning signs along the way. After seeing his minutes reduced from starter to supporting role as a sophomore, Sulaimon reached an all-time low last year with a DNP-CD against Michigan, supporting the idea that he may have developed serious attitude issues and had become a cancer in the locker room in response to his demotion. Apparently this worsened over time and eventually drastic measures taken.

While disappointed in the outcome, stunned isn't the word I would use to describe how I felt upon hearing the news.

I think you guys are simply attempting to find something that isn't really there. Mainly because Coach K did not actually make that comment. It was a source "close to the program" whom ESPN did not disclose.

This is what K had to say on the matter:

"Rasheed has been unable to consistently live up to the standards required to be a member of our program. It is a privilege to represent Duke University and with that privilege comes the responsibility to conduct oneself in a certain manner. After Rasheed repeatedly struggled to meet the necessary obligations, it became apparent that it was time to dismiss him from the program."

I was actually going to bring this up. I thought it was strange that ESPN spent so much time quoting a source that wasn't K.

Virginia has bounced back nicely tonight with an emphatic performance over Carolina in the Dean Dome. An important win for Virginia after the absolute collapse against Duke on Saturday.

The ACC remains Virginia's to lose. That is an excellent team. Really like Malcolm Brogdon's game.

Nice win for UVA

Pumped for this Kansas Iowa state game. If Kansas is ever going to lose the big 12 crown, they're going to have to lose games like this. They never do.

Should be a good one

Iowa State getting pummeled in the Field House.

Kansas on pace to win their 75th straight conference title. Time for the Big XII to fold.

UK got out-rebounded 36-24, and it was 36-18 near the end. Despite their size, they have some guys who aren't that great fundamentally on the boards. They don't have a Julius Randle, DeMarcus Cousins or Terrence Jones who was good for 10 boards a game despite their scoring efforts.

Their play on the court was self imposing the same ban.
