And suddenly Trevor Lacey, the reigning ACC Player of the Week who went for 21 against Duke on 5-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc, has forgotten how to play basketball. He is 3-of-12 from the field and 0-of-5 from three with 8 points. As a team, N.C. State shot almost 70 percent from long distance against Duke. They are shooting 25 percent tonight.
Frankly, I'm glad North Carolina is kicking their fucking asses. This is N.C. State basketball, folks. Mark Gottfried is a loser.

@bradwolverton: Three hoops teams went to the Bahamas for a week. Here's what they spent: Kentucky ($792,845.68); UNC ($154,825.91); Portland St. ($37,714).
@AdamHimmelsbach: Coach John Calipari stayed in a $1,550-per night suite for 8 nights at the Atlantis, also used for team meetings: http://t.co/l7efY9oRrb

Considering about probably 30 total individuals accrued that cost (16 players, 5 coaches/staffers, probably their wives/girlfriends), I'd venture to say it's a pretty nice trip at about 25-30K person.
With that said, I doubt any tuition money was wasted.

Washington and Oregon St. with the worst offensive half of basketball I have seen since Maryland and Michigan St.

I'd definitely hate to see the Huskies in my team's bracket. They could definitely make a run.

I get that you're beating a horse that is dead and lying in a pool of its own blood, but, if they somehow are able to get their shit together and make the tournament, UDub really does have the talent to make a surprise run.Azubuike24;1696863 wrote:I'd definitely hate to see the Huskies in my team's bracket. Whether or not Lorenzo Romar is a liability is another issue -- it certainly seems so with how poorly the Huskies have played of late despite their caliber of athletes -- but a Sweet 16 or Elite Eight run may not be out of the possibility. At this point, the Final Four admittedly seems like an extreme long shot as they probably won't be in the Dance.

Deservedly so. I mean, seriously, fucking Stony Brook. That Final Four prediction and the events that transpired immediately after might possibly be worse than my Adam Morrison 7-point half-time thread in which he countered with 37 in period number two. My luck is horrible.Azubuike24;1697133 wrote:Just giving you shit.

Hahahah! Forgot about that Morrison halftime thread. That was fantastic.
And yeah, it's just fun to give each other shit when a prediction/statement goes as horrible wrong as the Washington one has since you made it lol.

Good first half for Duke. Only 5 combined from Harrell and Rozier.

I don't care what UL's record is or what seed they have going into the NCAA's. They simply won't be able to beat a string of good defensive teams to win a title. Duke is a good, not great defensive team.

I know nobody on here really cares about the MAC, and most who do are OU fans who probably don't care much since the team will be bottom of the league, but the conference is going to be really entertaining this year. 4 games in and everyone is taking turns knocking each other off.

Yeah it would be nice if we weren't fucking terrible, but coming into today there was an 8-way logjam at 2-1 at the top.Pick6;1697380 wrote:I know nobody on here really cares about the MAC, and most who do are OU fans who probably don't care much since the team will be bottom of the league, but the conference is going to be really entertaining this year. 4 games in and everyone is taking turns knocking each other off.
#25 Wyoming is in 3OT at Fresno, and it's still only 63-63. Wyoming missed 2 FT's with a half second left in 2OT

Speaking of Wyoming, so annoyed Akron couldn't get Larry Nance Jr. Dude is a baller.ts1227;1697383 wrote:Yeah it would be nice if we weren't fucking terrible, but coming into today there was an 8-way logjam at 2-1 at the top.

Haven't watched OU much this season, but I hear they are dealing with a serious lack of depth. I think Phillips will get it turned around though. Really like Ndour. Interesting that Stevie Taylor isn't starting anymore.

Seniors aren't buying in, zero leadership on the team. Should be better next year with more of Saul's guys IMO.Pick6;1697397 wrote:Speaking of Wyoming, so annoyed Akron couldn't get Larry Nance Jr. Dude is a baller.

Buffalo should beat us by 40 next Saturday. Maybe that will finally be rock bottom and the leaders will pull their heads out of their asses.

Ou might be the only team in college bball with worse big men than osu. Thank god they don't play each other. They'd be bitch slapping each other.

I know we're only about 25% through conference season, but Connecticut (7 losses), Florida (7 losses), Michigan State (7 losses), Michigan (7 losses) and UCLA (7 losses) are all in serious trouble.
