Yeah the run blocking will be better, but does it really matter that much when they throw? He still holds onto the ball for a very long time.
True.
But you have to take the good with the bad. He holds onto the ball for a long time, and i a perfect world we all wish he would throw it away when needed and scramble around and make his big plays when needed.
Thing is, he makes so many plays because he holds onto the ball for a long time. He makes so many plays by moving around in the pocket. Do I wish he would get rid of it like manning? Yeah, but that isnt his game.
I dont know, maybe he doesnt make as quick decisions as other QB's, or maybe hte WR corp has a whole hasnt been good enough, or maybe he isnt one of those QBs who feel comfortable throwing it when the defender is right there.
Dont know.
But he is a very good QB. WOuldnt put him in the elite class, but in that next step below.
I dont think steelers fans will dump the steelers and start following the Pens instead. PItt is very fortunate to have a usually good FB team and also a good hockey team. I know twice while in PItt I went to the hockey on sat, steelers on sunday. The crowds were sold out, but not as many people showed up per game especially early on.
I think it is a sign of a spoiled fan base. SEason ticket wait is still very long.
I admit, I dont go as often with the buddies in the years they arent playing as well. It is over a 600 mile trip for the game and nowadays usually spend the night before so it becomes a whole weekend thing. In the good years......4-6 games, in the more lean years....1-2 (like this year). NOt that I dont like them any less, but life gets in the way. Still watch them pretty much every week, but when they arent winning it is hard to justify going those extra times and speding that extra money when we can just sell the tix.
