Ok....I guess he's Ryan Clark's replacement and will battle Shamarko Thomas for the spot beside Troy. He is 8 years younger than Clark and ranked as the 35th best safety in the league.....somehow Clark was 45th?

a good signing as Clark is way up in age, and TP has been hit or miss with injuries.

Also, to me troy seems like the kind of guy who would just up and decide his body has had enough and retire well before his skills eroded to the point where they would start loooking for his replacement.

I look for troy to move into more of a pass rush/linebacker role

RE: Woodley -- yeah, when healthy and into it, he was very good. Which hasn't happened for a while. I liked him, but the production didn't match the pay, so see ya!

see where Jones Drew is making another visit, and they may bring back Harrison, and I think a WR is visiting...forget whom.

What a joke. NFL just sent the message that it is ok to cheat for one play in a game, you will only get a slap on the wrist. You have players getting 2-4 game suspensions for the pettiest shit, yet Tomlin just loses some chump change. Rooney must constantly be down on his knees with Goodell or vice versa.

Take aderall in the offseason in Vegas 4 game suspension. blatantly cheat during a game to help your team and you get nothing. Logic seems off there

I just find it interesting the NFL protects their darlings. The overrated Tomlin's legacy is tarnished imo.

Taking a late pick or not doesn't really show they are "protecting" anything.

Now the NE situation....you'd have a point.

They never established what pick it would be, and also any pick you lose is not good. You should know that, but I am not surprised you don't.

Also, NE is def part of the protected darlings. They got a slap on the wrist for their complex cheating system they ran.

They speculated a later pick. I'm aware losing one is never good, but it's not going to make or break their future. That was my point, but I'm not surprised you didn't get it.

lol I definitely knew what you were saying, didn't mean to get under your skin that you didn't get it. You typically down play shit that is actually a bigger deal. I should know that is your act, my bad.

No act, just the truth. There is no reason to worry about a possible 5-6th round pick taken away. Now 1-3, that would hurt, especially considering their needs.

It's not about worrying, it's about setting an example that a coach cheated and it shouldn't be tolerated

I can tell you right now the steelers organization would have been 10000x more pissed if they lost a draft pick than a casual fan such as yourself. Anyway, I am done discussing it. Bullshit call on the NFL, steelers get away with another one. I wonder if every other team gets a get out of jail free card if they cheat for one game. End of story.

I agree, but look who you're dealing with with. Goodell and inconsistency go hand in hand. Considering NE's punishment, 100k fine to Tomlin is pretty much par for the course.
