No way Rivers, and Ryan maybe but I want to see how this season ends. Two years ago when all the receivers stayed healthy he had 41 TD's passing, last year the next 5 on the depth chart were lost for the season except for Calvin, and really he has Megatron, and a bunch of average receivers. Honestly it's Calvin then Durham then Ogletree and the TE's are Fauria an undrafted rookie and Pettigrew who cannot catch anything. And he's had a nice season so farwes_mantooth;1534744 wrote:I'd put Matt Ryan and maybe Philip rivers in front too

Did you really just put Roeghlisberger as the 6th best QB in the league?Classyposter58;1534741 wrote:He's honestly 7th I'd say

1. Peyton
2. Rodgers
3. Brees
4. Brady
5. Luck
6. Ryan
7. Rivers
8. Romo
9. Wilson
10. Stafford
Romo gets hated on but please show me a season where Romo had lower than top 10 QB stats.
Stafford's passer rating has been bad most seasons, heck, last year he was below Christian freaking Ponder.
Stafford has a big arm and the best WR in the game, he still makes a lot of bad decisions however.

I would put Wilson up there too, and to be honest, the way Foles has played so far this season he might even end up better.
I love Stafford in fantasy as he racks up the yards, but look at his completion % and passer rating, its not that good.

Completion-64.3%
TD/INT-2.56
Passer Rating-95.5
Stafford's Stats
Completion-60.1%
TD/INT-1.62
Passer Rating-84.7
So yeah, Rivers is better in every category except total yards and that's only because Detroit slings it much more.
Completion Percentage and touchdown to interception ratio are 2 of the most important stats for a QB. On top of that QB rating is the one that the NFL uses to rank QBs.

None of them are better quarterbacks than Roethlisberger.....right now. Romo and Rivers, not ever. That's just laughable. I'm skeptical about Matt Ryan too until he brings it in the clutch.jmog;1535051 wrote:Yes, yes, yes.

If you want to approach the discussion on who you would take to QB your team right now. Roethlisberger would be further down my list in that regard.

For comparison
Ben Roethlisberger
Completion-63.2%
TD/INT-1.73
QB Rating-92.3
Romo
Completion-64.7%
TD/INT-2.04
QB Rating-95.9
Ryan
Completion-63.3%
TD/INT-2.04
QB Rating-90.9
Maybe Big Ben is better than Stafford, that might have been a mistake putting Stafford 10th and Ben off the top 10, but Romo, Rivers, and Ryan are better than both in my opinion.

Stats are great, but unfortunately for your argument they don't tell the whole story.
I've seen Romo and Rivers suck it up way too often when it mattered.
Nope, but no doubt he brought it last year. One year wonder?

"Clutch" is subjective, look strictly at performance and stats and Romo, River, and Ryan are better than Roethlisberger over their whole careers.Automatik;1535058 wrote:None of them are better quarterbacks than Roethlisberger.....right now. Romo gets a bad rap on "clutch" when his decision making (ie TDs vs INTs) are far better than Big Ben.
Show me, without subjective words like 'clutch', what shows that Ben is better than Romo, Rivers, or Ryan.

Kind of like Ben has this whole season? Or back in 2006 when he had more INTs than TDs? Or how about thet 40 sacks per season he takes for not being able to make a decision? Romo only takes about 25 sacks per season.Automatik;1535064 wrote:Stats are great, but unfortunately for your argument they don't tell the whole story.

Trust me, only Pittsburgh fans think Ben is really that good.

If stats are all that matter, then fuck....Case Keenum, best college QB ever, right? Timmy Chang a close 2nd.
Actually Roethlisberger is the only positive I can take from their terrible season. He's fine, but the team overall is very bad....lacking talent, depth, etc.
Let me guess....Dallas fan?

I believe the debate isover current play. Over the past 3 seasons (including this one), Romo has been the better QB. No debate to it.
