Agreed. I think someone said it best that if he was creating the perfect basketball player in NBA 2k; it would be Lebron James.Me?;1531387 wrote:LeBron James is simply the best player to ever step foot on a basketball court.

Tough one, but I'm going Megatron. 2 years ago I would have said Randyyyy.

Well, it's not a false notion. The guy quit; there's no doubt in my mind the guy quit. You have ONE game in your mind for LeBron and judge him completely based on that--and the false notion that he quit

Heretic;1531424 wrote:Huh? He had a triple-double in that game, which was great and all...except for the nine turnovers and 38% performance from the field. 19 rebounds is the only ridiculous (in a good way) thing he did in that game when you consider his points came off volume shooting (27 points on 21 FG and 12 FG attempts) and his assist/turnover ratio was poor.
Who else was going to make a shot? That team was garbage. If you watched the games and legitimately thought he quit, then you're delusional and you don't understand basketball. Period. I guarantee you could sit down with every great coach and player that ever played, watch the tapes and they'd never say he quit. Boston was just a better team, period. Why is that so hard to understand? Everyone flipped out about Miami's Big 3...you realize on top of Rondo you had 3 of the NBA's top 21 point scorers..EVER. Boston was just better. LeBron tried to do it all himself because no one else stepped up--that's what happens when you do that, especially against a great defensive team. You shoot a horrible percentage.
It's really just pathetic that this conversation is even still happening.

Yes, I'm "apologizing" for the best basketball player that ever walked the face of the earth. It's not my fault you're just a butt hurt Cleveland fan...most of the fan base has gotten over it to a much larger extent than you--your life just must be pretty awful.
And since this guy won't explain to me what SQ means, will someone else?

T.O. and Randy Moss are extremely comparable when you look at their careers. A very good debate, actually.

Different style receivers. Randy might be the best "deep threat" of all time.

Agreed. I always looked at TO as more of a physical/possession type receiver where Moss was a burner.Automatik;1531455 wrote:Different style receivers. Randy might be the best "deep threat" of all time.

I'd agree with that. But I think I'd take a complete receiver.Automatik;1531455 wrote:Different style receivers. Randy might be the best "deep threat" of all time.

To me, it depends on the quarterback I'd have for this hypothetical discussion.Pick6;1531460 wrote:I'd agree with that. But I think I'd take a complete receiver.
Guy with strong cannon-arm: Moss. Moss is an amazing deep threat and having a QB who can take advantage of that consistently would be great for making lesser-tier guys look better at RB and short-range pass routes.
Game-manager: Owens. Because he probably wouldn't be as good at stretching the field with a Moss, but could make his money on hitting a guy like Owens all over the field on shorter stuff.

BTW Moss didnt need a guy with a strong arm... He just needed a guy who could throw it long... Brad Johnson would just throw a rainbow bomb and let moss go up and win the jumpball
Brad Johnson was actually great with Moss for this reason.. He didn't care what was happening he just let it fly into pretty much any coverage and let Moss with it in the air

Stafford is bad?sleeper;1530677 wrote:Calvin is the best receiver ever and would run train on any of the players in the past. Bigger, stronger, faster and he has freaking Stafford throwing him the ball. Imagine if CJ was on a team with Brees, Brady, Peyton, Rodgers. He'd average 30 TD a season.

Oh no, and I think Rodgers is #1, but Stafford is Pro Bowl caliber QB. Really clutch and can make some incredible throws. Has some moments though like today where he pulls a Weeden thoughPick6;1533136 wrote:He isnt Brees, Rodgers, Brady, or Peyton.

He's an average QB at best. I'm not sure your argument here; are you trying to say Stafford is anywhere near the same level as Brees, Peyton, Brady, or Rodgers? If so, LOL.Classyposter58;1533126 wrote:Stafford is bad?

Stafford isn't a pro bowl QB. He's not even top 10.Classyposter58;1533308 wrote:Oh no, and I think Rodgers is #1, but Stafford is Pro Bowl caliber QB. Really clutch and can make some incredible throws. Has some moments though like today where he pulls a Weeden though
