yeah, apparently...the software allowed them to reverse the infraction, but it didn't kick out the basement ban. So I went into the administrative shit and manually took off the ban.

I reversed the infraction. I can't reverse the ban. I assumed it was all one process, obviously it wasn't.

I really have no idea because I didn't read the thread, but they said he was just joking around. They infracted and then discussed it in the mod lounge...decided to reverse it.

My only thing was that I can get in the admin thing...whereas some mods can't. As for your infraction, I never saw it.....so I really couldn't tell you what happened.

Do you guys have TV's and vending machines in the mod lounge?

I remember ts1227(C4F 2.0) giving me a warning for saying "the OP is an idiot" after mcburg started a thread saying that exact same thing and it was clearly just a joke and mcburg didnt even say anything about it.

Im guessing ts1227 was bored and there was no one around in the mod lounge to discuss it with so he deleted my post and gave me a warning over nothing.

Agree, I gave the original infraction to hoops23 based on rule #1.

The precedent has now been set that you can call someone a "Liberal piece of trash" without getting an infraction.

Some of this shit will happen simply because the rules are somewhat grey. By not making a laundry list of overly restrictive rules ala JJ, there will be a grey area by nature. It's just being exploited more because the mods are actually enforcing instead of being lax as fuck as the site spun out of control like we were for the past year. But we have the ability to reverse if other mods think it was BS. It all works out.

lol...JJ had a list of 23 or 24 rules. When they made the site free, they made a bit deal out of condensing them into 3 or 4 rules. But the old guard still enforced all those rules that supposedly no longer existed. The only place anything really changed there was on the surface --- but the enforcing and general douchebaggery stayed the same.
