What are somethings you would enforce or do to help the site out?
Imo I think enforcing the rules more. I know the mods/admin have been doing a better job by seeing some of the rants in the basement. Just not sure if its enough yet. I venture over to pro sports and college football and still see some of the same crap going on. Even in srs bizness not a whole lot has changed. I see a few more warnings and it helps some but not sure people are getting the point yet.
Now making fun of me and calling me names for starting this thread may commence.

I would do nothing. Justin refuses to implement anything that would legitimately help the forums out and would rather circle jerk with the moderators who never post and never contribute anything except for infractions for people they don't like.

If I ran this site I would not try and make it a revenue generating instrument. That's what dictates many of the decisions that are made.
I would let those that came here from the JJ Huddle exodus determine the kind of site they want through their posting habits.
It would either exist or fail based on that. If it adds members because people tell others about it...great. If it dwindle's away over time to nothing...so what. It's just an internet bulletin board.

It's not a cheap thing to run a forum of this size. Making money would be a breakeven strategy, ensuring that the site could continue in the foreseeable future, unless you're planning for paying for it out of pocket every month. As for what I'd do?
1. I'd make the rules against "douche-baggery," which would be defined as anything I think is being a douche bag. There would be a two-warning system because of the subjective nature.
2. I'd create a "sister" forum where more adult-themed topics would be permitted, thus ensuring that I didn't lose AdSense eligibility while still allowing certain topics that Google doesn't normally allow.
