After many years, ballot attempts, etc., Ohio now has an operating casino OPEN as of 9:30 PM... the Horseshoe Cleveland.

All I have to say is... It's about time. I wish the deal would have been better, but at least a) Kasich was able to get the casinos to give more and b) it's a start of keeping that money in Ohio.

I don't plan on making any special trip any time soon, but if I'm up there for a Tribe game, I may swing by.

Anyone heading up soon? Any other thoughts?

Got thrown out already. The security is ridiculously tight tonight. Hopefully it loosens up once it's open a little longer

My mother in law is headed up Wednesday. She is a frequent gambler at various casinos around in various other states.

I don't gamble but plan on swinging in sometime just to see what it is all about.

If they want to have some grandmother deal blackjack, it's not my fault my reflexes are quicker than hers.

Then they have the fat ass floor manager come over and tell me "that's against the rules sir, please do not touch your chips after the bet is placed." LOL, Yeah, okay chief.

Why should a voluntary transaction have been illegal in the first place?

It's not granny's fault that she knows the rules better than you do. Would you be less mad if the floor manager was skinny?

Unless it was his first time in a casino, there is no way that happened. Even then I don't buy it.

Same thing happened to me once. It was a fairly large bet too. I left the table after the next few hands.
