Trust me BRF...I don't like arguing with my fellow tribe fans. I've put up with the one guy for quite awhile now. Enuff is enuff.

Not much different from Jimenez' performance (5 innings/4 runs/9 hits) today except Ubaldo had the benefit of an offense behind him. Not seeing the relevance. That being said, I hope Ubaldo has a "Cy Young-type" of year but I'm still skeptical.

That's the inverse of footwedge's attitude/thought process towards Ubaldo and it's really annoying.

I'm just happy to see Ubaldo pitch well, but more importantly, seeing the Tribe get some Ws and the sticks come alive.

His problem is he has to be consistent. When he's hitting the strike zone he is pretty much unhittable. He just needs to have the command.

Your problem is that YOU can't stand to be proven wrong on a prediction. You make a mistake...someone points it out....and you can't let it go.

You were wrong on Jamison...you can't let it go. You're wrong on Ubaldo...and you can't let it go.

Maybe....just maybe...I didn't watch the Toronto game. Ever think of that?

I'm entitled to my opinion...and unlike many here, I base it on past performances. And I don't care what kind of career Pom or White have. It makes no difference. The point is...that YOU don't understand...and never will understand....it was a bad percentage play trade...it matters not how it turns out.

And his history has been one of wildness....thus the numbers. 4 walks per 9 career wise is pretty bad. Nobody has ever argued that he has stuff. But if you can't control things, you lose.

Agreed but I heard he has worked hard on improving his mechanics in the spring and winter ball. You could really see the difference in his first start. Today he just didn't have it but I like how he battled and still put them in a position to win. Last years ubaldo would have folded in that fifth inning.

That was clearly my point. Obviously you missed it or took it for face value. My point is that every time Ubaldo has a shaky start, wedgie is here to make us all aware. My point is, that even those pitchers we traded are going to have bad starts.

That would be amazing. But Im not sure the offense will get him to 17. I dont think anyone on the staff can get to 17. I think too many games they will leave tied, or up and down 1 where the pens fight it out. Too many extra innings so far would lead me to stay with that prediction. But I hope you are right. An ERA in the 3s, wins aside, would be a great year for him anyway, imo.

WTF are you talking about? The Cavs weren't winning the title with or without Jamison, but he clearly gave them another dimension to the offense. Not my problem Mike Brown could exploit it or that LBJ had a "hurt" elbow that year.

Also, I never made a prediction on Ubaldo. I liked the trade because I felt that Dolan would follow it up in the offseason with some solid moves but he didn't. After that I voiced my displeasure about trading away two prospects for a rental pitcher. Ubaldo is a good pitcher and has good career numbers. It's not like he's some bum. The only issue I have is when the guy has a bad start you make an appearance to let us all know. Every pitcher has shaky starts. He battled through it and we got the win.

You're the one who can't let shit go, which is why you continually bring it up and get mad about it lol.

The only relevance I was going for was to point out how stupid it is to freak after a bad start. Nothing more, nothing less.

I thought he made a ton of great pitches in the fifth inning too....and I posted as much. I hope the fucker wins the Cy Young...I'll give everyone here an ipod as i eat some sweettribe humble pie.

All I know is the tribe sure looked good this weekend.

And for the record, I liked the Kochman pick up for 2 reasons. 1. No more LaPorta. 2. A first baseman that can actually catch a ball in the dirt.

I doubt he hits 300 like he did last year, but you can't do worse than LaPorta.

Kochman is starting to pick it up at the plate too. I think he was nervous being a free agent signing playing at home so the fans expectations were high. I think he's starting to settle in. I would say he will be at about a 270-280 hitter this year but his defense will be a huge plus
