I was shocked with pretty much everyone when his name came on the screen...I just said, what? I really think they could have taken Hill or Randle there and Weeden at 37, but guess not. So who is a likely WR to be there? I can see Hill going late in the 1st and possibly Randle? Marvin Jones from Cal is a name I've been hearing about...About 6'1 190 runs a 4.4, good hands. Could have him probably in the 3rd/Posey would be there. I just don't really know where they're going with their next pick? LB?

Brandon Weeden is the oldest player to be drafted in the Common Draft era. Breaking records already.

I wanted Reiff at #22. Absolutely sickened by the Weeden pick.

I'd take Randle over Hill. They don't need to draft anymore project WRs.

i still think hill and randle are reaches in the first round. i think hill is there in the second round. eric page a good friend of mine worked out with hill all off season. said he has some good quicks and ran good routes, but his hands are suspect..

Leave it to the Browns to ruin my day, night, weekend, and week without even playing a game. I hope Heckert has a good moving company on his list of contacts, because he will be moving out soon. Reiff and Decastro is there, and the fucker picks a 29 year old QB who sucks ass. Not to mention they could have drafted him at #37.

i agree, i don't like hill, he is too raw. we need a reciever to come in and make plays. i think randle was 6'4 right?

Yea I remember Page when he played against OSU. He tore up their secondary! I thought about him before too...they say he plays faster than what he runs in the 40...so he could be a guy they target late.

Let's see. 72.3% completions...including huge games against Oklahoma and Stanford at the end of the season. But people wanted to draft a guard instead. OK.

Biggest reach in the draft
No way Bruce Irvin at 15 was way worse than this.

Might as well draft Kellen Moore with that dumb ass logic.

yeah he has talked to the OCs from kanas city, tampa bay, colts and patroits. and he has talked to a lot of scouts. he plays a lot faster than his forty time shows. they said any where from 3rd round to 5th.

Pick grades from WalterFootball.com:
22. Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State: F Grade
I gave the Eagles an F last year for drafting a 27-year-old guard, so I'm dishing out yet another F for a geriatric player. Brandon Weeden turns 29 soon. By the time his first contract is up, he'll be 33. As in, near the end of his career. This move reaks of panic; Cleveland really wanted Kendall Wright, and Mike Holmgren apparently did not know what to do once the Titans made the surprise selection.
24. David DeCastro, G, Stanford: A+ Grade
Unbelievable. The Steelers somehow land a guy who could be the top guard in the NFL over the next decade. David DeCastro could have gone as high as No. 11. It's really amazing how smart organizations like Pittsburgh can take advantage of dumb teams making stupid decisions year after year. This is the best pick of the 2012 NFL Draft thus far.
Classic Browns. He did give the Browns an A- for the Richardson pick though (the minus for Holmgren getting duped into trading up to #3 for him).

I will say that when I saw they were taking Weeden I was like WTF??? How do you pass on Decastro and even Reiff. I agree that Weeden would probably be there at 37.

You guys have been slaying Colt McCoy all off-season. So the Browns take a guy with top 10 talent (obvious loss in value due to age) and you guys are all angry about it. One thing I do know, Weeden will stretch the field a whole lot more than McCoy because he can throw the ball over 25 yards. In fact, he has uncanny accuracy on deep balls. Who knows, maybe Cribbs can become a legitimate receiver?

If you got him in the 6th or 7th it wouldn't be that bad.

I am so disgusted by this draft. I could see the first trade, wasn't happy about it but could rationalize it. We got a great player, gave away pics that likely won't be impactful... so it was ok. But this? Jesus. If we take DeCastro there, we have the best draft in round1 this year. Instead, we fucking basically said "nah, we don't want Julio Jones... we want an old Ginger bitch who plays in a gimmick offense". WHAT THE FUCK.
