I was hoping for Weeden at 37 but I'll trust Heckert.....for now. Maybe they trade back up for Stephen Hill?

I think it's even worse than the Seahawks because of the position. If you take a guy that high, he MUST start for you. If McCoy takes a snap besides injury, it doesn't look good. This is a bad team and this is a quarterback that has questions (if he's 22, is he can't miss like the first two? I don't think so)-- it's going to take a few years until you can really compete. You don't have a few years with his age. They could have filled a few holes, stunk like they will next year, then do whatever it takes to get Barkley next year.

I wouldnt even like that, but he would have lasted to 37 easily.

What's the saying...if you have 2 quarterbacks you have 0 quarterbacks? Here comes another training camp QB battle...great.

Exactly another Brady Quinn for the morons out there that think that every QB is a good one.

At least they got Trent Richardson or I would be totally livid instead of just disgusted at their level of idiocy.

I disagree on all accounts. He could sit for a couple years, but if he develops into a good QB, he develops and would be a good QB for at least 7 years. He doesn't have the wear and tear, so even if he didn't start till he was 31, I think he'd be fine until around 38 due to wear and tear. Anyhow, I don't think he looks to be amazing or worth the 22nd pick.

There's no battle. You take a 28 year old QB with a 1st round pick, HE'S your starter. Case closed.

So with his first 2 picks of the 2012 draft... Heckert has given up on his 2nd and 3rd round picks from 2010.

Solid job, Tom. That's how you rebuild through the draft right there.
