Between a shitty combine, then blaming his coaches for his "poor senior season" I can see him anywhere from 3rd to 5th round. He may sneak into the 2nd but only if a team is looking for linebackers slower than Kalil.like_that;1130014 wrote:What ever happened to Vontaze, didn't he have a shitty pro day/combine? I'd take a shot at him if he drops to the 6th or 7th round lol.

Maybe he will consider another season at ASU to complain about his coaches? If not, and he drops to the 6th round, why not swing for the fences with him?BR1986FB;1130021 wrote:My bad...he may be a junior

The last I heard about him, the "experts" were saying he was going to be undrafted. So i could definitely see him falling to the 6thlike_that;1130024 wrote:Maybe he will consider another season at ASU to complain about his coaches? Hearing Jonathan Stewart could be had for a 3rd round pick. Sign me up for that.

Some draft talk from PFW...

Eric Edholm ‏ @ Eric_Edholm Nolan Nawrocki on Andrew Luck: "To me, he's the most polished quarterback to come out of the draft in a long time." Likes better than RG3.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Nolan Nawrocki said that if he'd entered the draft, Matt Barkley from USC would have been the No. 3 QB in the draft behind Luck and RG3.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Nolan Nawrocki says that Michigan State DT Jerel Worthy can play in both the 3-4 or 4-3. Likely to sneak into the end of the first round.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Teams are becoming more comfortable with Michigan St QB Kirk Cousins. Compares him to Andy Dalton, saying he could go late-1st or early-2nd.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Ohio State's Mike Adams has the size to play both left and right tackle, but the tape is "troubling," according to Nolan Nawrocki.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Stanford's Jonathan Martin could have benefited from another year in school to improve his strength, Nolan Nawrocki says.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Midwestern State OL Amini Silatolu was one of the most enjoyable prospects to scout this year, Nawrocki says, but there are legit concerns.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Nawrocki says teams won't regret selecting Wisconsin OG Kevin Zeitler in the top 40, though he's not the best guard in the class.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly RT @ Eric_Edholm: Nawrocki says Whitney Mercilus would be too much of a reach for # Bears at 19 but could see him in consideration.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Memphis DT Dontari Poe has "rare size, rare movement skills" and could get looks in the top 10, says Nawrocki. # Chiefs would love him at 11.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Nawrocki says that Kirk Cousins is the best fit for the # Browns if they are interested in challenging Colt McCoy.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly As a quarterback, Ryan Tannehill graded out as a third-rounder, Nawrocki says. But clear that the talent level is there.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly LaMichael James is "the most instinctive runner in the draft. Rare speed for the NFL level. A game-changer at Oregon.," Nawrocki says.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Trent Richardson is as good of a power runner as there's been in college football in recent years, Nawrocki says.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly A lot of people have come away from watching Oklahoma St. WR Justin Blackmon "unimpressed," says Nolan Nawrocki.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Based on Jeff Fisher's history, the # Rams would likely be interested in a big defensive lineman like Fletcher Cox, says Nolan Nawrocki.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Nolan Nawrocki says because of his speed, Maine SS Jerron McMillian is likely to be drafted. Could be a special teams standout.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Alabama LB Dont'a Hightower can play inside and outside 'backer. Nolan Nawrocki says he may be better than Tide teammate Courtney Upshaw.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Arizona WR Juron Criner is a "dime a dozen wide receiver." Has talent, but mid-round pick most likely, says Nolan Nawrocki.
Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly Alabama's Mark Barron has "great all-around football character." Has the same approach to the game as Julio Jones, says Nolan Nawrocki.

I don't think there's a huge degree of separation between Blackmon and some of the other receivers. Definitely not enough to burn a pick on at #4.Commander of Awesome;1130102 wrote:Pro Football Weekly ‏ @ ProFootballWkly LaMichael James is "the most instinctive runner in the draft. So my Mock Draft on buckeyplanet where I'm the browns has gone like so
4-Claibourn
22-Wright
37-Zach Brown - OLB UNC
3rd - Bobby Massy OL - Ole Miss
4th - Chris Polk RB - Washington
I doubt Massy and Polk fall that far in the real draft...

Had Brandon Weeden on show today. He outplayed Luck and RG3 last yr. Very
underrated, even though 28. Browns should take him at No. 4.

Interesting read here. For those of you who like Blackmon, how about him at 4 and then a trade back up for Richardson if he slides to 10?
