I dont get why every one makes such a big deal out of how hard baseball is. Someone Baseball fans always say hitting a 80mph(miles per hours) fastball is the hardest thing in sports.
I've have been to the batting cages before and I've have been able to hit 80mph(miles per hours). Also, they always say that feilding a ground ball requires a whole lot of agilities and talent but I dont' think it would that hard! Does anyone agree that baseball is not baseball is not that hard of a sport? If it was so hard, then why do portoricans accell at baseball so much!?
You're thoughts

Oh my God..Here we freakin go again. Can the Mods please do something about this stupid troll? He is ruining this site and mocking the online community with his stupid posts. I get on this site to have some reasonable interaction with some really awesome guys who I think really know their stuff and then I get confronted with some moron who doesn't even know how to type. If there is one thing I hate more than a troll, it's poor grammar. Dr. Pizza, take "you're" stupid videos and your stupid topics and go back to JJhuddle you Jabroni.

Basketball would be the easiest sport. But it's not such an easy question - most sports are easy to play, but having significant degrees of difficulty in terms of being tougher to be good at, much less at the pro level. For that matter, nearly everyone is capable of "hitting" a baseball to some degree, but not everyone has the willpower to train for a marathon, or perhaps even the inate stamina to ever ride a bicycle up Alpe de Huez.

Take NFL offensive lineman. Just block a guy - easy, no? Yet physical strength/talent is no substitute for technique. Lots of big, strong oafs can't come close to being an NFL OL. In terms of rarity, that technique might actually be comparable to that of a golfer.

So "easy" IMO would be which sports can you play the longest and have the least adverse consequences later in life? That would make golf the "easiest" and football the "hardest".
EDIT: Fishing would take all. Unless you don't consider fishing a sport.

Fishing is not a sport, neither is Cheering or Poker.
The toughest sports in my opinion would be,
1. Wrestling
2. Football
3. Baseball
4. Hockey
5. Soccer

I have watched a lot of high school sports and baseball, far and away, has a much higher percentage of games that I would class as not close to "well played"! So I'd say your premise is incorrect.

Football loses in this argument, though, when you consider that Antonio Gates and Carlton Haselrig starred in the NFL never having played in college (perhaps even highschool?). Haselrig was a 6-time NCAA heavy weight wrestling champion and became an OL. No way could any NFL player, no matter how athletic/talented, just pick-up the game of basketball in a few years and play in the pros.

I might go with hockey, because for everything else you have to learn about the sport and being able to handle the puck, you have to be able to skate, and fast (unless you're a goalie).

Maybe volleyball is the easiest?

There is no way to quantify this. If "hard" means it requires the most physical exerction at any one point, then obviously baseball is not the most difficult. That would fall to some sport that is a "sprint" like swimming or wrestling, etc. If "hard" means the most eye-hand coordination, there is not way to know for certain, but I'd put baseball up there. If you talk about the patience, the endurance of a long season, the infinate possible of things that can go on on the field that have to be accounted for, the diversity of skills required, etc, then I'd say baseball is far from the easiest sport.

At that level soccer is the easiest....this is from empirical evidence having gone to college with guys that were "soccer studs" in HS.....hilarious how angry they'd get in intramurals when guys that never handled a soccer ball in their life would force them into a 0-0 tie. All you have to do is be faster than them and kick the ball away constantly.

While I do agree that "all you have to do is be faster than them and kick the ball away constantly," soccer is definitely not the easiest in high school. Not anymore, if it ever was. There are several "soccer studs" that are "faster" and can "kick farther" but that's not the majority of high school soccer players. Even then, those high school teams that have the 1 or 2 fast guys/girls still don't make it far in the high school tournaments.

If I were to vote, it'd be cross country or track...but, can they really be considered a true "sport?" High school cross country and track coaches, not all of them mind you, recruit other sports' athletes much of the time. They recruit based on: there's no bench in track, you can get an easy letter, and you can have fun. It doesn't take much to go run an event in high school track. You run one event a few times and you get a varsity letter. You run a few cross country meets in high school, you get a varsity letter. Anyone can do it.

1. Golf
2. Baseball
3. NFL QB

Basketball, most football positions require a certain physical size and athleticism to be successful. Jacoby Ellsberry(sp) and others break that mold in baseball all the time. All it takes there is talent. Golf is by far the most difficult because anyone can swing a club there are just more people doing it at a high level than any other sport.

So true. It's much easier to disrupt than create on a soccer "pitch," just watch the US National team play.

Tough question to answer all around. Football is physically tough, but you don't really have to skilled unless you are a QB. You see guys all the time go out for football and succeed because they are big, fast and agressive. It is much tougher, and almost impossible to just out out for baseball at the high school level and beyond and succeed. 99% of guys are going to get embarrased by curve balls, etc.

Soccer is the easiest sport to play and not get embarrased. It's easy to blend in, run around, and just be part of the game. This is why it's so popular with little kids. Everyone can run around and have fun and little Johnny doesn't have to strike out in front of everyone.
