bwahahahaha got the invite, clicked to join, and Google+ doesn't support the shitty browser (IE6) that my company insistently maintains on all machines.

if i were to do that, it'd be for much more heinous reasons than using IE6.

well for starters, i run some programs on my machine that i need to be unmanaged to run. They are for like important shit like pressure surveys and reservoir simulators and all that stuff. and the new IT manager, decided No unmanaged machine is required for any business purpose so my machine is now managed. which means 3-10 times a week, depending on what sorts of things I'm working on, or what we're having problems with, i have to call IT, get them to create a ticket and wait about 1 hr while someone gets assigned my ticket and calls me back to grant me temporary admin privileges to my own machine, so i can do my job. and i have to have a pretty good idea of how long it will take, because they won't give me more than 4 hours at a time, and they will end it in the middle of my shit should i not give myself enough time.

or the fact that i'm switching jobs on monday, and the guy i've been trying to train to take my place can't get to any of the files for this field.

why, you ask?

because he was an intern last summer and IT still has all his shit mapped to another group within the company (where he was interning last summer) and since he's managed (post above) we can't map him to the correct drives. this has been the problem since 6/20 and still hasn't been resolved.

IE6, WTF? Even IE7 is still a big pile of shit. If you insist on using IE and you're not using at least IE8, I hope you die in a fire.

*obviously out of your control, j_crazy, so I won't hold it against you. I'd still like you to die in a fire, however.

fwiw Google+ is exactly like FB before they allowed to developers to make their own apps. Just a cutdown version.

Uhm... that means it's awesome then. Facebook was the shit before they allowed developers to make 3rd party apps. That's when Facebook 'jumped the shark.'

Exactly. I don't care much for FaceBook anymore. It's essentially MySpace now.

From first glance its not as good as FB, but it has potential. The Circle thing is pretty cool. I just block all third party apps from FB anyway....problem solved.

btw...all the PM'd me..invites sent.
