I received an invite to Google+ over the weekend. So far, I like it and am impressed. It's very similar to Facebook from what I can see, but it has an obvious Google feel and interface to it. There are not as many distractions as Facebook, that's for sure. I like how there is a "Share this information with..." option next to all pieces of information shared, allowing you to share info with just yourself, your immediate "Circles", your "Extended Circles", or "Anyone on the web". This makes it much easier to implement customized security settings than on Facebook.

How do I send invites? Is it as simple as dragging contacts to certain circles? (do they automatically receive invites?) Or is there an Send Invites feature? Can't find it yet... Some things are still confusing on the site, but it will come with time, I'm sure.

What I've been doing to invite people is dumping them into a circle of their own, and then sharing something with only that circle. Google+ says it'll email (#) of people not yet using Google+ but it actually doesn't do anything.

Then, the people whom you've invite should be able to go to plus.google.com to set it up.
